I went to the cardiologist today. I told him about the blood, and that I didn’t feel any different than usual despite it. No trace of blood this morning, still feeling good.BP was 110/72 and I had no problem with that. Had to go get an x-ray done at a satellite building. Long walk from the north side of the hospital (Doc’s office there) to the south end of the other building. I am very short winded, Can’t stand more than a minute without starting to get uncomfortable. I would guess a couple hundred yards.. after the x-ray i had to go back to get picked up and taken home. This was in the afternoon. Half the walking was outdoors, and there was a bit of a breeze. When I got back and turned on the computer, the temperature was 106, and the humidity was Zero, nada, dry hot wind….. My room felt so good. I go back next week for a sonogram (echo) on the 27th, and for the follow-up on the 28th. Nothing but 100 plus for the foreseeable future. And a different doctor appointment July 1st. I will be getting my generic vitamin, I guess.No. I didn’t go to the ER. Doc didn’t seem worried, and i sure didn’t.

I do want to thank all of you for your caring words. I never can get used to people doing this for me. I have been a loner most of my life, hardly friendless though. Most of my friends were not surprised when I showed up, nor worried when I left. They knew I was a nomad, and sooner or later I’d likely show up for a while, then be gone again. Now I can’t wander where ever my nose draws me.. I wander among memories, and every memory calls up another one. Reactions vary, some memories are sad and nothing can stop them, because u\once it’s unlocked, it runs it;s course..So, I do feel humbled by your words. Thank you again,..

    Good Morning, Everyone,

So good to hear from you, Slim! You are a cherished Friend! Glad things are working out for you! You contribute so much to our GoComic family, and it is appreciated!

David…………….5!!!! Almost there! And, yes, dkram…….we get busier after we retire! I almost get upset when I just can’t sit and read. :))

We had some terrible winds last night……..part of a severe thunderstorm in the area. It tore off an entire window assembly. It’s one of those heavy double glazed crank out windows. I left it open about 2 inches, and it worked its way open with the wind. (I didn’t realize the wind was from the north, and it was a north facing opening, so it was my fault). Now we have to wait for a window company to come out. Thank God it’s not cold!

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Slim, I consider you one of my friends, and I care about my friends. I want you to know that you are cherished.

It’s been pretty hot around here the past couple of days, too, but the humidity hasn’t been at zero yet. It usually hovers around 8-10%.

My brother & wife from Bakersfield are in Vegas to celebrate their 45th anniversary on Saturday. We went out for pizza with them on Monday, and will get together with them again later this week. They are seeing all sorts of free lounge shows and doing the tourist bit and having a ball. (Kathy is a GREAT bargain hunter. If there are discounts available for a show or museum, she can find them!)

Good afternoon to all.David, dkram said it all. You wonder how you had the time to do things when you worked a 40 hour week.

Slim, glad to hear that things turned out well for you. Unfortunately that’s what happens to us when we get old. Hang in there.
