Gaining tax-exempt status requires following the rules, or the tax-exempt status can be revoked. Personally, I believe no group should be exempt from taxes, especially if they are primarily formed for the purpose of lobbying.

Somebody is going to jail. It will be interesting to see who.The cartoon is pretty good. The Constitution is definitely under attack.Anyone else watching the Paul Sagal special on PBS about the Constitution? The first episode was pretty good. Here’s the link to watch the streaming episodes.^http://video.pbs.org/program/constitution-usa-peter-sagal/^I hope Mr. Obama wasn’t as stupid as conservatives are hoping he was. The IRS story and the AP stories are real threats to liberty and how we define the constitution.Respectfully,C.

I have questions, like why is there an ACTING IRS head since Nov. 10, 2012?(Answer, Republicans won’t confirm Obama’s appointments.)

If Republicans don’t like the authorities granted in the “Patriot Act”, they shouldn’t have passed it. And, no, I don’t like the Act and it never should have passed and been signed, just like the “Military Commissions Act”. (or the many riders placed by Republicans in Defense Authorization Acts.)
