In twitter speak, or something like that? I STILL don’t get it.

and Ralph undoubtedly snores; he’s very obese.

Reminds me of the Sgt. O’Rourke/Cpl. Agarn “Who says I’m dumb?” bit on F-Troop. ♦ Sometimes when some1 tells me a joke that isn’t particularly funny, I’ll wait til an hour later & laugh as if I just got it.

So it’s all because Ralph is so hard of hearing he mistook the word? Still not funny and more so for being called brain dead by someone I do not know nor care to.

I don’t think it was so much that Ralph mistook the word tongs to be thanks as it’s a variation on the “joke” my siblings and I would play when we were young:

I say, “one Q” and instruct you say “two Q,” and it goes back and forth until I say “nine Q” and you say “ten Q”. Then I say, “what?” and you repeat a bit louder, “Ten Q”. I say “What?” again and you practically shout, “TEN Q!” To which I reply (with a saucy grin), “You’re welcome, you’re welcome, you’re welcome!” Yeah, it is funny to a 7-year-old.
