Actually, these problems are not strictly limited to just the USA, but are problems the whole world over. And are certainly even more of a problem in many of the “Third World” countries in particular!
As a Catholic, you then support all forms of birth control except for abortion? As a Christian, but not a Catholic, I lean in the same direction. It is either that, or fully support any and all efforts to help women that have to raise children in relative poverty areas. That includes churches, and government. And that may very well mean higher tithing as well as taxes to help do that, but then that is part of what our Lord meant by helping to carry his cross!!
I am certain that as a good follower of Christ you would have to agree with that!!
Well, if life truly becomes unbearable, then there is always suicide, isn’t there? Sometimes I actually have come to think that you could cut the negativity here with a knife!!
Hindus “burn brides”, “honor killings” appear in history in all the “bible religions” as well. The simple fact is, it’s pretty tough to find an organized religion that doesn’t regard women as “second class citizens”. Oh, right, “property” doesn’t equal “citizen” to begin with.
“Obviously, Christians should be entitled to bully, harass, offend and deny human rights to anyone they wish provided they can find the necessary excuse in their Big Book of Excuses, aka, the Holy Bible. What’s the point of a religion if you can’t use it to feel better about yourself by elevating yourself above others and pretending to be their moral superior?”“What we are witnessing now is the end-game for Christianity. The tension on the elastic band keeping us tethered to the Bronze-Age is at breaking point. Society has progress to the point where hysterical Christian attempts to hold it back simply make it worse for Christianity by making them stand out as reactionary bigots merely using an outmoded superstition to try to cling on to the last vestiges of the power they have abused for so long.”Both quotes at http://rosarubicondior.blogspot.com/2013/05/self-righteous-bigots-are-whining-again.htmlWhen I read them, I thought of you. You are my favorite christian on these sites, as your comments do more to discredit that particular superstition than do those of any other christian here. Thank you!
Adoption sounds like an easy, sensible solution but the path is strewn with bureaucratic red tape obstacles at every turn. Would be adopters have to pass strict scrutiny before being considered able in terms of race, wealth and mental competence. None of the standards apply to parents having children by natural means.
Every night Pett tearfully crawled into bed, so desiring to be in the Rall and his minions clique or Bors and Sorensen. He wanted to pray, but, alas, there was no god. “No-Great-Source-of-Truth-and-Good”, it sucks to suck. Fortunately, his witless fans were Elvis lovers.

Sadly, it’s right here at home. And by home, I mean pretty much everywhere in the world.

Mr. Pett forgot about abortion, especially the sex selection abortion where female babies are killed. ’Nuff said.

“What about adoption?”
Thanks for proving to us that conservatives don’t care about children once they are out of the womb. Let’em be someone else’s problem.
