Yes, the cordon of loyal Americans is important, but even more valuable is that they are protected by standing at the center of truth!

Apparently nothing is going on in Republican land other than this wild goose chase. BTW the Republicans are pushing H.R.1406, which is a bill that would force an unnecessary choice between overtime pay that workers rely on and time off that they may never be able to take advantage of. They call it the “Working Families Flexibility Act”, which is code for more work, less pay.

Utterly asinine, GOP’s doing all it can to destroy the economy to try and regain political power. It lies, gets caught lying, and continues to go on doing so. Be nice if they were Pro-American for a change.

    1. previous cuts in budgets was not the reason for the neglected “security” in Benghazi, testified to by officials last fall under oath. -2. the top official responsible for the neglect and refusal to strengthen security was Sec. of State Hillary Clinton. She was carrying out President Barack Obama’s policies.-3. Dana has the situation correctly illustrated. The strategy of the House Democrats (and the lap dog Obama MSM) was to deny, delay, derail, and ridicule by false accusations (GOP political “smear”) etc. along with attacking the sworn career officials as not credible. TRUTH makes Democrats break into rashes and throw public tantrums.

All you who think that the mainstream media is irrevocably slanted toward the left, please answer these questions:

What do we know about Exxon-Mobil’s free oil giveaway to Arkansas (the spill of tar sands oil)? How is it being cleaned up? Is it still leaking? What will be the outcome of a similar spill that will definitely happen from the Keystone pipeline?

What do we know about the release of radiation into the sea water that resulted from having to use sea water to cool the nuclear rods in the Fukidomo reactor accident damaged after the earthquake and tsunami? Did it just vanish, like the oil in Arkansas? Or are there longterm health consequences as a result of contamination with materials that have half-lives of thousands of years?

I submit that the news media is not intentionally anything; just incompetent.

“Name something that the republicans are doing to destroy the economy.”

1: tax cuts when there is not enough income to pay current bills. It is economic suicide to cut income when you can’t pay your bills in the first place.

2: threatening default, which trashed our credit rating, raising the interest rate, which has the effect of making us pay more to pay off the same debt.

3: forcing the government to purchase tanks and missile-defense shields that the pentagon does not want

4: the bailout of the banking system, which was done by Bush’s treasury secretary Paulson.

    5: no-bid contracts

6: starting a private, vigilante army that answers to no one (Blackwater)

7: “fighting them over there, so we don’t fight them over here”. Think about that one for a minute. How much has it cost us to move all our personnel, tanks, munitions, vehicles, communications, etc? And what has it gained us? And how much will it cost us to bring it all (except for all the stuff that has been blown up) back home? I say: you want to attack us, you pay your way over here. You bring your stuff with you. We’ll be waiting, and we can see you coming more easily. It’s going to be a lot harder to hide an IED here….and it’s easier to watch troop and supply movement when we know the territory and when they have to work harder to make it happen.

    8. Deregulation. Name whatever industry you want: trucking, banking, mining….the results are the same: increased costs and decreased safety.

That’s just off the top of my head. I’m sure there are plenty more examples.

The only jobs bill that the Republicans have offered that I am aware of has been passed by both houses of Congress and signed by Mr. Obama, It was called the “JOBS” bill, which stands for “Jumpstart Our Business Startups”. As usual, the name is a cynical substitute for what the bill really does, which is to weaken banking regulations; it has nothing to do with starting or helping small business.

Larding the stimulus bill with tax breaks did a great deal towards making it worthless.

I do not believe that any one person or any political party is trying to make the United States into a third-world country. Not intentionally. I do think that both parties have put party power in front of what’s good for the country. The dems hurt the country by being clueless; the repubs do it by marching in lockstep to really bad ideas.

Issa would be so much less dangerous if he really was as stupid as he appears. It’s the fact he DOES know what he’s doing t destroy America, aiding and abetting our enemies, at home, and abroad (that “foreign and domestic” in his oath of office he ignores) by a disgusting and deviant discourse on what twisted idiots will believe.

Benghazi was Stevens’ error, and Libya warned him. He knew most Libyans really did like him, and it was mutual, and that led to a false confidence regarding his safety.

Issa is just another chickenhawk Republican, who should be removed from Congress. Rush Limbaugh seems to be his main “information source” from listening to both Rushbo and the “hearings”.

Hey, Tim, the vast majority of people receiving federal and state benefits are members of the WORKING poor! Get it? They work full time, yet don’t make enough to live on or to support their families. This is the America that the right wingers want to extend to 90% of the population – so they promote misinformation to uninformed – and short-sighted – bigots, who think that, because they don’t need help now, they’ll never need it. Like Ayn Rand!
