Personally I give J. J. great credit for finding a way to free “Star Trek” from 40 years of “accumulatta” and restoring a reasonably clean canvas for the writers and Crew to draw upon.
Star Wars vs Star Trek. They’re both the same genre, both worth watching and both equally entertaining. I don’t see why there has to be polarizing discussions re: the merits of each vs the other. It’s childish!
If Roy and Kathy were REAL fans, they would have been at one of the midnight shows last night. The movie is great , BTW, far exceeding my expectations on what could have been a questionable storyline.
I’m a fan of both. Just a fan, not a crazed ‘THIS is better than THAT’ fanatic. They both have entertainment value. …But, to stay in the current moment, and not dig into what went before… Chris Pine sure is a cutie… :-)
I also like both Star Wars and Star Trek, but the thing I really don’t like about this new Star Trek movie series is that they messed with the Star Trek canon.

I caught Star Trek last night at an early Imax showing. The film exceeded my expectations & Roy won’t be disappointed.

@johnzakour I would agree that Enterprise would toast Death Star, but you must specify which one. I would go with NCC 1701E
