“One Froggy Evening” had more to do with how little things really change through the decades than it did about evolution. Most monkeys would deny any relationship to the human race.

He knew the first rule of comedy (know your audience), and forgot the second rule (know when to leave).Remember – in show business, timing is everything.

Man, I forgot to mention the beauty of Wiley’s drawings….Sometime it’s just one or two panels that are particularly exquisite, but today all of them…. Hey you try to draw the first creature to crawl out of the ocean….I love sunday Wileys…..a lot…….

Show business must have been perfected in the 20th century seeing’s how they’re always repeating the movies from that time.

From what I’ve seen of television shows it must involve convergence. They all begin to look the same.

Show biz evolved, and is now disintegrating before our very eyes/ears. The level of “talent”, or that which some view as “talent”, is farcical.

The Looney Tunes Golden Collection credits the voice of the frog as Bill Roberts, a nightclub entertainer in Los Angeles during the1950s.

What, after leaving it rest overnight, nobody seems to have touched on; that bird and that walking/dancing fish are on separate lines of evolution, with their own timeframes, in parallel.

People still (paraphrasing S.J.Gould) have the notion that evolution is over!

No, it’s still continuing, in ‘punctuated equilibrium’ as isolated populations, cutoff from the rest of their gene pool, face pressures, and adapt (or die off, and the next little group get to deal with them).

Alan Watts used to get in trouble with academics, as he lectured about Buddhism and Western philosophy, not as though they were dry, ‘safe’ historical subjects, but something alive and still with juice in it.

We are fiddling around (and GASP evolving!) in a living system, folks; give it just a little respect for providing us such a good living/life, and watch for signs of what may be next (and celebrate it)!
