So… Mysta is a clone!

Ahh, the bait is being dangled in panel 2! The possible cloning of Smith.

Yes.

Good point raised by Diet Smith – just what DO they plan to do with her? And do they really think she’ll co-operate?Sail’s shown his hand – make Smith authenticate Mysta, and suckers will belining up to give them money.Which makes me think Mysta is the real thing, and NOT a clone!

Next statement will put Diet Smith on the spot- he will be asked to take Mysta back to the moon…..how does he handle that, without blowing that he and Tracy took a recent, off-the-record trip there?

What if Clone Maid is simply bait, and Sail’s real objective is a moon trip, or Grand Theft Space Coupe?

Sail is devious, and is “doing” this deal skillfully, but Diet Smith is no pushover when it comes to ventures. Smith is the mark, but exactly what is Sail after? More cloning business; a clone’s ransom; a purloined Space Coupe; or yet some other thing? Alas, in any case, Clone-Moon Maid is simply a pawn in his plot….

Now that we know I only hope Bill Thompson & MikeyJ will return for some interesting comments.

In the second panel, it looks like Sail cloned Smith’s eyebrows.

Poor Mysta. I don’t see her fitting in the current world of Tracy. Like a candle in the wind…..

There have been many “clone” plots where the clone has a “limited warranty” so to speak. Works well, but each has a short lifetime before returning to what it was before. I hope this is not the case here as I would hate to see Mystas face begin to return to a destroyed state, and her body deteriorate until she must disappear. And I agree with all who think that the space coup is what Sail is really after. He and his partners do not know what has happened on the moon.

If they can clone a human, surely they can figure out how to build a rinky-ding space coupe?

i think sail is biting off more than he can chew….diet smith is no pushover, you dont get to be ceo of a huge company like his by taking the easy way out. smith will fight him (monetarly, etc.. not physically of course) tooth and nail if he has to… and it seems to me now that diet is “fishing for information” from sail… maybe he IS gonna tip tracy off.

plus, sail seems to be “pushing” mysta as being a “recreation” or a “genetically engineered clone” too much… COULD she be the real deal?

but but but…. a clone is NOT you…..but ANOTHER you…..it wouldn’t have your memories or even your personality, as you are shaped by experience, not gown in a lab……..

If she was a clone then why was her face the last thing to complete? She’s no clone! Heck, she’s not even from the moon! It’s some poor girl who’s been brainwashed to think she’s Moon Maid, then subjected to plastic surgery. The powers can be faked electronically— this is all an elaborate bait & switch against Diet Smith!

Hmmm, at this point it looks like “The Cryonic Man” all over again, but I trust Mike and Joe to make a sudden off-road turn.

Does anyone else think Diet looks like an overweight J, Jonah Jameson?

Happy Memorial Day! A special thanks to all veterans, and especially for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve liberty for all Americans. They must never be forgotten.

I can’t imagine that Diet will readily fall for another cloning scam after the Collins Mumbles story. A lot of grief came out of that episode, including a falling-out w/ Tracy for a time.

I want Mysta to be the real deal, but only time will tell.
