How about the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? ALL of which precede the second amendment in our founding documents. But the NRA never wants to admit the truth, that THEIR right to happiness ends at the tip of MY (or Ima’s, etc.) nose.
BTW: Wuerker did NOT say UNregulated, he said not HEAVILY regulated. And the NRA said this week that we should enforce laws already on the books to keep crazies and criminals from getting guns. Hmmm! Sounds like BACKGROUND CHECKS to me!
I don’t think Wuerker understands that BATFE stands for Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, with that ONE agency being responsible for federal agency action on all those items. I find it ironic that 3 of his 5 examples should ALL be regulated under the same general body of law, and yet like most anti-gun liberals he’s utterly clueless about it.
