    Not a bad one today… not worthy of Smythe, but, better than expected (Even if I DID see the punchline coming from a mile away)

    Now heres more LATE news from Boulder (sorry Gweedo)covering Tuesday…

    Was it the shite-ee bulb ?

    Chalkie j said, 11 beatings ago

    @ Qwee-dough “Pint-Timer” MurraySo Cora’s whacks, ad nauseum repetition,

    So, were the Drysdales based on the dithers ?.@Number Three

    Ed and Joe are well. One aunt is managing and the other… wont know until the next e-message. Hardly did anything with the garden spot. I spent a significant portion of the day weeding on both yards. Dug out 57 cactuses and a nice messa salsify and wild lettuce, also one ‘I don’t know what it is’ weed. Went to the store and the bank and exchanged some power steering fluid on the wagon. Once a year I syphon about 12 ounces or so out of the reservoir and refill with new juice. Not a complete change, but the fluid is always “young”. I flush and fill the brake system about this time too. That keeps moisture from accumulating in the system and rusting out the calipers and wheel cylinders. I have disc up front and drum brakes in back.

    I hope to lay the water lines in the garden tomorrow. also watched another “Still Game” this evening. This is one busy week for me but I am glad to finally be getting this stuff outa my hair once and for good. Driving up to Lyons to get the heirloom tomato plants will be a nice break as well as a culmination to a buncha stuff. Hope your Wednesday is/was good. .Sounds like your Dancy is at least a notch or two above mine, Linda although I could do a mean Hokey Pokey in grade school. Every year since about 3rd or 4th grade they would open the folding wall partition between the boys and girls gym and Mr. McCormick, one of the boys gym teachers, would do the calling. They had a record player and a microphone-amplifier setup. Real classy !  I actually enjoyed the square dances once I got the hang of it..That’s Henry the horse, ya horseball !  you know who… .When yer a kid old people aint cool, John. doncha know that “cool” didn’t exist before your kids invented it ? .I have extra blankies for when you go hogging them, Lindee. “Ah keeps mah feathahs numbud fuh just such an emuhgency”Ahm needin’ some postin’ now, sistah !!

    @Gweedo Murray

    That’s awesome… I never knew about that. Thank you for the info. I hope everything gets done as soon as possible.

    Today DID get off to a good start until I had found out by my Mum that one of the nurses at my doctors had died of cancer at 56 years old.

    I went to see her a few years ago as I had to get jabs to lower my risk of getting cancer in the future (I can’t really say what type) She was always lovely to me and was great at her job.

    I’m sorry to you and everyone for bringing depressing news on a happy forum but it came as a shock…

    I hope YOUR day is going well at least.

    @Gweedo(mountainman)Murray,I know that, it just ruffles the old man’s feathers a bit. I’m just a grumpy old man sometimes. Last coupleof days Arthurhas kicked my ass. Temperature dropped into the upper 30’s for a couple mornings. I could tell without looking at a thermometer.

    Still double posting, I see !

    No need to be sorry, Linda. I just couldn’t resist throwing that last bit in. .Great L.A. shot there, Chawkster !I’ve seen that Boulder profile plenny-ah times. Ever been up to Fairfield ?Don’t exactly see myself pickin’ up Newbeaters disks.Love that “Run For Your Life” tune even though I would never live it. .That was a nice thank you to Linda, Number Six. I like your bar shot and look forward to the next “Bloodhounds” episode. Pardon the indiscretion but if we do a contraction on a name, we might refer to him as Patrick McGoo’n. .You’re welcome, 3. I’m fitty-six !!!. Guess I need to check my rearview mirror more frequently for that “Mr. Death”. Well… I’ve got ‘depressing’ too. Went on about 8 this morning to an email from Uncle Bob. He said that Aunt Linda’s heart gave way and that she passed peacefully. Cousin Laura left Dallas early to be with her dad. I haven’t seen these folks in some years but am affected by the event. .John Grumpy Old Men PikeI don’t have kids or grand kids so I don’t know how I would react except to say, “take a good look”, (at me) kid, this is your future ! My temps have been great the last two or three days. I think summer is actually coming !

    @Gweedo Murray

    I am very sorry for your loss. I started crying when I read your comment and now I’m feeling full of guilt for going on about a death of a non family member when obviously an actual family member’s death is a LOT more upsetting.

    But that doesn’t mean I’m not ‘allowed’ to feel sad about it.Because I AM.

    She was called Julie and she was a lovely person.

    And if I’m honest I didn’t really care much for the first part of your reply to me which was “Guess I need to check my rearview mirror more frequently for that “Mr. Death”.” as I found it offensive and UN-funny but I’m sure you didn’t mean it that way.

    Again, I’m very sorry for your loss and you and your family are in my thoughts always.
