GRITSweek is now in the books! The Winterhawks play their first Memorial Cup game today. And 33 years ago today I had a front row seat to the eruption of Mt. Saint Helens! Akenta, can we celebrate that?
good morning and happy saturday locos. Not sure a volcano erupting is something to celebrate. Instead we have Europe Day in the Ukraine and Uruguay has Batalla de Las Piedras.
We had a 5.2 earthquake yesterday morning. Or so my mother tells me. Her chair moved, and it is an electronic recliner that weighs a ton. All I know is that I woke up suddenly, but didn’t know why.
It is commencement time here so the Dining Hall staff has been working around the clock for the recent graduates. I got this afternoon off though, so that was nice.
Good luck to the Winterhawks! and JFri that is cool that you got a front row seat but didn’t get hurt by the eruption.
Glad the earthquake went mostly unnoticed for you Shika, those can always be scary.
