When I have a cold, I can’t really focus on too much of anything, so I watch pure fluff which doesn’t tax my system.

I’m going to get ripped the shreds for this…
…but IMO Star Wars actually ISN’T the best example of sci-fi in the world.
They’re good for action/adventure, for which there is nothing wrong. Everybody loves a good action/adventure movie.
Sci-fi…not so much. I mean it sort of has sci-fi ELEMENTS, but….it never really uses them. They’re just sort of there.
For example, you could easily retell the whole Star Wars saga, from start to finish, by removing ALL of the major sci-fi-ish elements and set it all on present day Earth, or even past-day Earth. Making it a WWII story would be the most obvious way to do it.
Don’t really know much of anything about Battlestar Galactica, but I’ve heard mixed opinions on it. I’ve caught glimpses of the original series once, but wasn’t too impressed, if I’m honest.
As for Star Trek, I’ll just say that it’s had it’s ups and downs. Exactly where those ups and downs lie depends entirely on what sort of fan you are.

Does Adam realize that Battlestar Galactica wouldn’t exist if not for Lucas? B.G. has almost no new elements.

Either you mean BG, or BSG. BS apparently would describe the show itself. (BG was BS) I just noticed the spell checker in this shows BG as an error, it’s perfectly fine with BS.

I did not like Clone Wars at all. And thought prequels ranged from one star (I) to two (III) stars on a 4 star star system.

Sadly, I couldn’t get into any of those shows. “The Wire” came closest, but I’ll never rent the second disc.

The original Battlestar Galactica series was wonderful and inventive. Early on I enjoyed the remake series, but it faltered later on. Caprica tried to tell the story of the beginning of the Cylons, but it got very convoluted. In the original series, the robotic Cylons were created by the reptilian race of Cylons, not humanity. I didn’t even bother with Blood and Chrome.
