Actually, this is an old Hebrew poem and it starts out with Sunday.Sunday’s child is fair of face.Monday’s child is full of grace.Tuesday’s child is has far to go.Wednesday’s child is full of woe.Thursday’s child is loving and giving.Friday’s child works hard for a living. But the child born on the Sabbeth day, is fair and wise and good and gay.(side note: Wednesday Addams was named after this poem.)

I think most of us were named after this poem.

After seeing Wednesday Addams in the “Addams Family” movies, I’ve been a big fan of Christina Ricci. I like the strange ones.

I was born on a Monday – either fair of face or full of grace – a win-win!

Anyone curious about the Saturday vs. Sunday issue can check out www.sabbathtruth.com. There’s a lot of great information there. Even videos to watch hosted by Hal Holbrook! (He was Preston Blair in “Lincoln”)

Ming’s brother seems to have rearranged ALL the lines to suit his own theory….

Sorry…. but that’s not how tradition works!

I’ve known that poem since I was very small, having been given an older cousin’s set of “Storybook dolls,” each tagged with one line illustrating her day, and costumed somewhat appropriately.

    I was told I was Thursday’s child…

I later discovered I was born on a Tuesday. I think my mother just wanted me to identify with Thursday’s somewhat plainer doll.
