According to prevailing wisdom, out of the four tiers of graduates, one, medicine, is still needed. What is desperately needed and noticeably absent are engineers of all types. Send the lawyers back to “trade school” where they can learn something useful.

Read an article recently about how US students are increasingly flocking to Canada for the cheap education—and being welcomed with open arms.

What a shame that the American dream is stuck in the 20th century.

What we need to do is to blow up the Telecom Act, which is the biggest reason syndication exist in the first place. No local stuff anywhere. If we fund public education and colleges we might be able to have people who can produce great things in our society instead of the do you want fries with that crowd. Of course I wouldn’ expect the cons to do so since education = liberalism so…

The government no longer gives student loans, they are given by banks. Remember? The interest rate just doubled and it starts as soon as the loan is given instead of after graduation when the gov’t handled the loans. ($200,000 for a BA degree)

I work at an engineering company. Some of these guys would be lucky to have a Magna cum Venti degree from the School of Baristas. Hamburger U is where they seem to have matriculated…
