This is indeed the legacy of the Bush abomination, er, I mean administration. That an American president advocated the use of torture is as offensive as ANY decision any president has made in my lifetime. A disgrace that will take generations to overcome. And all you that ’ have no problem with torture’, good luck in recovering the humanity that you have sacrificed. Because if you don’t object vociferously to such a thing you HAVE sacrificed a part of your humanity. And I hope that you try to atone. You need to.

We would all be better off if we ignored the trolls (Ms. Ima, HOWGOZIT, Gore Bane, Brandon, etc.) … all they do is spew the same one-and-two-line bulsit on each page — rants that get under the skin of right-minded people … consider that either (1) none of them care any more than to hit-and-run like most who spray grafitti on any blank space, and don’t really care what anybody thinks, or (2) some right-wing/Tea Party sugah dadda pays them to spew this garbage, making them low-life freeloaders, just as they accuse everybody who actually employs actual thought processes before posting on the Internet.

I would be VERY interested to see a DD214 proving more than three months of honorable service from any of these right-wing trolls … but I expect that could never happen …

Just a couple of cents from a 20-year USMC (Ret) who earned a master’s degree in something other than a redneck agenda …

Regarding Benghazi: A truly unfortunate incident that should not have happened. Now, let’s examine your apples-vs.-oranges comparison. Benghazi is a consulate, not an embassy, and therefore has less invested in security. This is nothing new. I am not saying it’s right, necessarily, but I’m saying this was not Mr. Obama’s idea.

Four Americans in a hostile country full of haters armed to the teeth with weapons, visiting a consulate…..what could go wrong?

Congress investigated. State investigated. Heads rolled. You can debate whether or not the correct heads rolled from now until the cows come home; we will never know the full truth. Calls for more hearings continue to this day.

9/11/01 terrorists drove planes into the US. 3000 Americans killed on American soil; not in a foreign country where they hate Americans. Dubya had plenty of warning; there were FBI reports from aviation schools about foreigners who only wanted to learn how to fly but were not interested in learning to land. Suspicious?

    Bush’s response? Fiddle-dee-dee. I’m taking August off.

There were calls for an investigation. Bush wouldn’t testify under oath. Neither would Cheney. There’s only one reason why anyone would not be willing to testify under oath. Do I need to specify? Not only that, but Bush would not testify under any circumstances unless Cheney was present. Do I need to specify why?

There were hundreds of pages of testimony and facts. After redactions, there were a few paragraphs.

National “Security” Advisor Rice was touted for president. As it was, she ended up Secretary of State. Tenet (“slam dunk on WMD’s”) was awarded the Medal of Freedom.

And the only heads that rolled were the ones who did not support the two wars and/or torture and/or Abu Graib.

Do you see a difference here?
