Transcript:
Cheesy Patriotism elsewhere Barack Obama: If you want to know what Burkino Faso is all about, look at our first responders. They run toward danger-not like in some countries we won't mention! Man: Here's to the brave men and women of the Serbian military- the finest the world has ever known! Man 2: The self-radicalized Jihadis of Al Qaeda are fighting the enemy over there, protecting our way of life, so we don't have to fight them here, in the homeland! People: A-N-D! H-E-R-Z-E-G-O-V-I-N-A! B-O-S-N-I-A! A-N-D! H-E-R-Z-E-G-O-V-I-N-A! B-O-S-N-I-A! A-N-D! H-E-R-Z-E-G-O-V-I-N-A! B-O-S-N-I-A!

I find Ted’s cartoons far less annoying when you can’t tell what he’s talking about at all.

Was it George Carlin that said -" Fighting for peace is like screwing for chastity?"

I love the last panel. I like how in this country, we praise people of certain professions (police, firefighters, teachers, etc.) as heroes and shining examples of what America should be whenever they are around during a tragedy and show how truly brave and good they are. And then, within a few months, these same people ask for a pay raise… (and God forbid they belong to a union)
