Most Guantanamo victims are on their third month of hunger strike. So guards are force-feeding them.
Man: This is America. The only people here who'll starve to death will be us enlisted men, after we become homeless.
Oh goody, another series of comics on torturing the Gitmo prisoners by tube feeding them twice a day. Come on Ted, don’t be such a woos. Draw up the bleeding nose and gagging and throwing up as they insert the feeding tubes. I did think the guy waiting in the wings being hung from his wrists was a nice touch.
Well, once they become homeless they can join uncle Fidel’s wonderful country. It’s not very far away and offers many and various high paying jobs for young, eager former U.S. soldiers! I’m sure Uncle Fidel can use experienced young, disillusioned men such as these.
Maybe the people complaining should check out the Geneva conventions. According to the Geneva Conventions, these terrorists and insurgents, we can do what we want with. They have no rights.
Well, to begin with, even the Pentagon says that most of them are totally innocent of wrongdoing. You might not have any morals, but many people in other countries do, and it makes us look bad to have innocent concentration camp inmates die under US custody.
First off they are not victims they are prisoners. Second, their treatment is a hill of a lot better than how they have treated a lot of people in their own country.
Actually, you can not let these particular set of hunger strikers starve to death becase if they do wind up dead in US custody, no matter how benevolent, all that the news of that death does is stir up troubles in the Middle East, making it harder for our folks in uniform out there to do their jobs.…But if the hunger striker were anybody but those inmates at Gitmo, then I would agree that they should be left to starve—like some whiny pimply-faced kid lobbing bricks at cops in San Fancisco during the “Occupy” demonstrations.…When Thatcher’s government had this problem over at Margate Prison back in the early-1980s, they chose to let Bobby Sands and the rest of the IRA hunger-strikers starve themselves to death and in the end, it forced the British to cede certain concessions to the Catholic factions in Ulster as well as allow in some input from Dublin on how to govern in Ulster.…We should learn from that bad experience that the British had and learn not to repeat that here, where if we let one Gitmo inmate starve himself to death, it may “force our hand” in the Middle East and give in to the Taliban, to al-Qaeda, to Pakistan even or any of the remaining insurgents in Iraq, and that may in turn weaken our standing in the region with our allies.…These hunger-strikers need to eat, and they need to be handled better so that they will want to eat on their own—otherwise it hands our enemies out there a propaganda victory which we can not afford to lose.
And several of them are Chinese Uighers, not Taliban or Al-Qaida, and we can’t/won’t release them because it would offend China. Yet the great Lindsay Graham calls them ALL bastards. I’m glad I wasn’t on the other end of his JAG “justice”!
I REALLY hope you don’t get sick, or lose your job (outsourced?) or wreck your car, or in some other way come to grief.
If you do, you’ll discover you have been totally flim flammed. I hope you can tell monkshood from rhubarb, but I wouldn’t wish the necessity on my worst enemy.
There’s always the hope, though, that someone with more compassion than you have will help out a little.
Good luck. I wish you a successful life and continued ignorance on that score.

I don’t think that was what ted was trying to point out… though I do agree with you.

Well, for one thing, it will have been returned to Cuba since it’s not legally ours anyway.
