I would agree with the sentiment, as that’s how the saying goes, but we’ve yet to say who really has the superior firepower. If the Endtowners gain support of Mallard, they may have a nice arsenal of energy weapons at their disposal. Either way, I’m still waiting, biting my nails for the second the rats get angry.

Rat, speaking through the door just before it closes: “The women are fine. Just don’t ask about the rest of the colony. Oh, and Mr. Jackrabbit, Mr. Allgood, you may not want to bother returning to work after this settles down – both of your buildings have burned to the ground.”

The whole court is caged in a slamming door. OOOKKK.How do you like it Panda…If these rats get too tangled up they may forget they have them locked up. That was an interesting slam. Raibit just maybe able to quiet things down on the sides of Endtowners. If he can shout loud enough., That is a long way up and a lot of noise below.Hmmm. Aaron, you are a rascal….aka one of the rabble.Blessed Be

I bet the truck with the siren that brought them he was seized by Another stray rat, a guard maybe, And then call the rats to go to a safe place. there is probably another way to escape thru. Rats don’t like a place where they can’t have a 2nd. wt to get out of danger. No as real rats, they would gnaw a way to safety if they can. I just hope these 2 can make it to safety.

I was wondering when news would hit the courtroom. Is there TV news in Endtown? If so, is it controlled by “those upstairs”? At this point, the streetside Endtowners are just a p.o.ed mob—while the rats should be a disciplined group of some kind. How much of streetside Endtown will know about this incident by now? How would they know? TV? And, not all the streetsiders are likely to join the mob. Suddenly, the 2 “lawyers” are prisoners, too. Stormwing was right…5 hostages.

THe fact that they are un-armed may help keep them from being shot dead. To see them running without their guns make me think they are quiting the job.

Like I said before… 5 possible hostages on the upper levels. Remember when Allgood got hit with a bottle on the way to work? He got bandages. Remember when a rat got hit with a bottle at work? People got bullets to the sternum..This is why Endtown needs rubber bullets, and a ton of other Less-Than-Lethal weaponry. In fact… is there any weapons in the Endtown universe that DON’T outright kill someone? Seriously, between ‘dusting’ people and gunning them down with lead, I have to seriously question the non-available amounts of tasers and self-defense weaponry.

For one remember this is a continuous story. It can be ahead in time yet go back. The alarm was going off when the Rats were running to the elevator. In this scene the alarm is just beginning which means it was prior to the Rats running to the elevator. We just stepped back on the timeline a little. The two Rats are not fleeing they are running to man their positions when the alarm sounds. All doors sealed and secure. Just like on a war ship at sea when general quarters is sounded. All hands man battle stations. All doors and bulkheads secured. That is one of the reasons I did not go Navy. When ships go to battle they seal your ass inside wherever you are. If in the engine room well there you will be if the dang thing sinks. On the ground as a grunt at least I could run around a bit. Maybe dig a hole and pull the dirt over my head. (hehehe)Also its along swim across most oceans. I can swim very well but…….

So, I wonder if the mob is going to go after the symbol, lynch Algood, and change nothing really. Like we do in America. Or if they’ll figure it out and go after the bureaucRATS and actually get something done.

The rats leaving the ‘courtroom’ may only be unarmed because they were in the courtroom. They are probably racing to get their weapons and join their comrades.

Stormwing,To clear up that issue I think you would have to look at the earlier history of the Endtown Universe. If you read some back story like Wally’s past and Sparkplug’s past the weapons manufacture APEX provided weapons apparently on a massive scale and seemed to not care which side they served. Money was the primary drive. Supply one side missiles the covertly supply the other side the means to defeat the missiles. Their interest did not seem to drift to less lethal but more lethal as proved when Sparkplug solved the Aimesworth Radiation problem creating the family of Zero weapons. APEX was not just happy with a monsterous gun on tracks they wanted smaller hand guns, Zero missiles and the arms race was on.It never been fully discussed by the author but you can read some details into it. Just think human, money, and power.

Allgood says “One more day of questioning.”I would guess Linda was up next. Coincidence that the riot starts PRIOR to Linda getting on the stand? The Council knows they can’t win the battle here so start a new battle elsewhere where they have a chance of winning?Linda would be a very persuasive argument that there is nothing wrong with what was done in fact it is a good thing. She would provide a good version of what is the new definition of “HUMAN” given her past.Still all this depends on the Rat Security Forces and what the Council orders them to do.Do they inflict more casualties on Endtowners? Bring out bigger guns to quell the riot?We know they have access to “GAS” so drop canisters on Endtown. (It was used on Gustine and Al to bring them down. Crawford was very concerned it would kill Gustine and expressed it to Mole.) Attack and destroy that which was their job to protect at all costs? Or do they sit back and go “why”? What is this happening? Is there some other solution? Why is the Council ordering this mayhem? Why did ever start in the first place?Questions yet to be answered. On a side note I will bet Allgood will feel so betrayed when this is all over. Is this were Velda lets him know what is REALLY going on? (Inside the room where Allgood and Jake are the lights go out. Then come back on. Allgood on the ground dead. Jake sees the bloody knife on the ground and picks it up. Security reenters seeing dead Allgood and Jake holding the knife. Velda’s plan along to get rid of BOTH Allgood and Jake. Remember she is the VILLIAN in this story. Just like the female in “I, The Jury”.) Have fun folks!!!!!

Looks like the High Counsil is doing a lock down. Always ensure control of the media first. Without a target to vent their rage on, the citizens will soon loose focus and either cool off or turn on each other. Either way, the Counsil wins.

Darwinskeeper. That is what I think also. This whole thing is a set up. Somehow it got figured out how to fix the Council. Then create such a situation that the Council would FEEL it should not NOW leave in such a serious situation. In other words not leaving after 30 days. They just had a few to push out. Al was one. I wonder if there was another not mentioned. All replaced by the ones controlling this situation. As far as Jake and Allgood go I believe they are totally in the dark about what is REALLY going on. Velda probably told Allgood several of HIS friends made it to the Council not that the whole thing was FIXED which would discredit Allgood. When Velda was confronted about the amount of force used to take Maude and Linda into custody Velda was LYING through her teeth. I could just feel it in my gut. The immediate denial and turned it back on him to shut him up. I learned in interrogation training those lying will always try to shift off the subject anyway possible. She knew the Rats were instructed to use all force. Velda knows. She knows it all. She just acts all “I don’t know what they are up to. They are always going over board.” Again see she shifts the subject off her so called control as Police Liaison to the Rats being out of control.

Hey Joe WaskiewiczI agree LOL myself. I just love to speculate. That is the fun part. This author never ceases to amaze me. A few times we have been right. Other times way off. I thought at least one Rat would make it. Never thought he got just so close only to die at the door. That really struck a nerve what being a ex-soldier and all. I have seen that. Think we made it unhurt out of a firefight. Only to hear one last gun shot. And you knew someone got it. You just knew it.

Remember to vote for the big three, Endtown 2.0, Doc Rat, and original Endtown.

I will do what I can, I have to go back to hospital, different one for ortho than gastro, and try to explain to my Dr it really is a coincidence my fibula plate broke, or something in my knee went bad causing me to fall sideways last night while out of Rx, (four surgeries on top of my regular pain with no additional meds except one little prescription of Percocet 5-325, qty 30 for bile duct stent, nothing additional for 3 more painful procedures.

So vote early and often, we kind of got off to a slow start.JusGrumblin

In a matter as complex as this has become—-and remember, this all started ’cause someone caught newly-minted Endtowner Linda doing something kind for a lost soul—-one has to wonder what “game” is being played. Someone could be playing the game to get control of Endtown…but any of these “someones” could be playing a double game, trying to give control of Endtown to the Endtowners.

(If the four on the High Council wanted to take over as dictators, would they have (a) teased the Mayor and Albert about it, or (b) let Albert run loose? One of our villains could yet turn out to be a hero…)

On what other animals to eat.I having been trained in SERE know all about what I would call “exotic” eating. When you are hungry you would be amazed at what you are capable of consuming. I hated the grubs and maggots. Just nasty now to even think about it. I would rather chew wood bark. But squirrel is small but okay. Rather tart to my taste. It really depends on what the animal itself eats. It takes on the flavor of that. That is why deer hunters spread corn and meal about prior to hunting. To “sweeten” the meat. When the deer eat nothing but acorns they taste bad. Fermented old acorn smell. Worse meat ever eaten was skunk. Just getting it was bad enough but have you noticed one thing. Vultures fly to a dead skunk in droves and fight over it. Fresh deer carcass sitting next to the smelly dead skunk and the vultures are fighting over the skunk.I’m hungry now. Lets see what is on the menu tonight.Beans, Beans ala Mode, Bean casserole, Beans ala Rat.Beans ala Butt Scratch Finger drizzle. (heheheheh)Bon Appetite.See ya’ll tomorrow.

I’m hoping that the rats will see the folly of what higher ups are doing and decide to go home, put the guns away and take up other jobs. Maybe seasoning the beans is not quite their line of work but to open dentistries and beauty salons would really in the realm of natural abilities.Have anyone seen the Hero-Rats?They can be quickly taught to sniff out land-mines. They are small enough to NOT set off the bomb, It’s on you-tube, so cute.
