Also several WWI units in Europe were Bicycle-mounted.

As fast as Horse Calvary but they didn’t need to be fed!

Actually it turns out fungi like it cool:

“Heels and toes may host such hearty fungal gardens because feet are cooler than other body parts, and fungi don’t like it hot.”

Ok, this showed up last week in a biking episode:what is it that looks like the guy with Frazz has a big Band-Aid over his mouth? He can obviously talk, but if it’s part of his helmet, why is it "flesh"colored?

@packratmac@comics for funI had the same question, and reached the same (tentative) conclusion. It would help if he appeared to have lips.

Until recent years, my concept of a “goatee” was a narrow, pointy beard below the chin, much like that of a goat, with or without a mustache. (A quick Google search confirms this.) Then men began to shave a thin circle all around their lips and chin, with nothing below to speak of, and called that a “goatee.” In this strip, Burke has one. Looks as if Clutch’s is thinner than Burke’s.

And not lets forget the ‘Nam vets also. They served in a unpopular “war”.My friend just lost both his legs because of Agent Orange or what the doctors said was a "foreign substance’ in his blood.I’m a peacetime Vet myself.Navy Seabee.

And let’s remember those who came home in one piece physically but damaged mentally and emotionally. A lot of them live on the streets.

And—let’s especially remember those who deserve benefits and have been waiting for three years for the VA to process their paperwork. Jon Stewart has been keeping that story alive when others haven’t.

If you look a early Doonesbury strips, Trudeau tended to draw his characters without mouths at all unless they were speaking. Never understood that.
