Wouldn’t the metal coils heat up quickly? Wooden coils would burn and not have the flexibility. And this does not take into account residual temperature rising from the planet’s surface. This creature must be made from asbestos or some other non-earth discovered material. (Sorry, 0230 and body cannot sleep but brain is overactive.)
