The line was almost as stupid as all the folks on the right saying we should step in in Syria and get a bunch more of OUR people killed, with absolutely NO idea who will take over!

Mr. Obama is a terrible leader. He has no credibility on any issue. For some reason, the idiots who make up 51% of the American voting public don’t care and have consistently elected him because he seems cool. I feel sorry for the American military who must suffer this fool who insists on leading from behind. I wonder what his next move will be, as his true policies seem to eminate from his behind.

I could copy and paste the opinion I put under Mr. Arial’s cartoon, but I won’t. The essence of it is just because you don’t see marines landing on the beaches of syria doesn’t mean our gov’t isn’t doing something. I also support a no fly zone and the use of old cruise missiles on military hard sites not located near civilian areas. The writings of Sun Tzu would be a good read for anyone who wants to second guess the military.Respectfully,C.

Well, while I don’t support more war, I think the threat of war is enough to keep small-world dictators in line. Sometimes the perception of willingness to go to war is enough to avoid war. For instance, how many countries in the middle-east were rabble-rousing? How many times did Kim Jong Il launch missiles at Japan/The US? These things didn’t happen because they knew President Bush was willing to wield the world’s greatest military power. Obama, not so much. His only military actions have been to drop bombs, bow to kings, and pull out of countries. He doesn’t have an aura of authority or command. He has an aura of an Orator, and one of salesmanship. This is not what we need from the most powerful man in the free world. And this is why so many conservatives are barking and screaming. Not because we think we should be going to war. It’s because everyone knows he won’t. Maybe he should take a few pages from Clinton’s playbook on a lot of things. While not perfect, Clinton was a far better leader. And that’s what we need.

I guess some people like wars. The same people who think every situation is really simple.

Red Line in the Syria sand.

You either stand firm like the mountain or shift like the sand.

Sounds like Muammar Gaddafi challenging President Reagan; you cross this line, you DIE, ok, you cross THIS line, you die, umm, well, you cross THIS line you die! Reagan stood firm.

Now who is redrawing Red Lines in the Syrian Sand.

According to AAEC, Lisa Benson and her husband have four children, ages 18 to 26.

I volunteer them to be the first troops into Syria.

Our military personnel cannot stand any more conflict. They are worn down and in no mental state to fight with any objectivity. They must be allowed to recover. If you want to go to war, reinstate the draft. Give our troops a break. Better yet, send Congress in first. After all, they are LEADERS?

    “@Adrian Snare

What did Obummer do to deserve a Peace Prize? They only gave it to him because he’s black – talk about being racist!"no he got it because he wasn’t bush. Every president coming into office faces a situation made by the military where it is seductive to utilize a military solution rather than a diplomatic solution. The issue is can the president be seduced to take ‘the easy route’ with the most powerful military (by far) than the world has ever seen.kennedy made the misstep with the bay of pigs and Vietnam. Bush 2 failed miserably at this test. Obama has passed with flying colors.Just because we CAN use the military in Syria, doesn’t mean we must or should. The mid-east is complicated, especially when 1/2 the country willfully refuses to understand how and what the enemy thinks. You may be able to beat them militarily temporarily, but that does NOT mean you’ve won the war, or the people with your military might.

Too bad most of your listed sources are left-wing-biased media outlets, and can’t be taken seriously. Here is a link from Heritage.org. Exact quotes from his own speech are listed. But here are a couple:“So we must be honest with ourselves. In recent years we’ve allowed our Alliance to drift. I know that there have been honest disagreements over policy, but we also know that there’s something more that has crept into our relationship. In America, there’s a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.”“My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy. We sometimes make mistakes. We have not been perfect. But if you look at the track record, as you say, America was not born as a colonial power, and that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there’s no reason why we can’t restore that.”And so on. How are those not apologies to the world?

To tell the truth, I dislike Obama because he’s an idiot, and an embarrassment to the office of the President. He has diminished that remarkable position through his own actions. He is not a man of peace. He is a petty, knee-jerking, self-aggrandizing coward. He inserts himself into positions that are best handled at the local level (something about cops being stupid comes to mind). He apologizes for America being great (No, Europe is not better than the USA). He panders to his base and demonizes anyone who disagrees with him. When compared to Bill Clinton, Obama is a pathetic example of a President. Clinton at least recognized the importance of negotiation and compromise. Obama instead prefers to make demands and then have the media guide the narrative to demean those who want something different. How many idiots on these forums think the Sequester was originated in the House or Senate? Hate to break it to you, but it came from the office of the POTUS, indicating no bill would be signed without it. But all you bleat is how Congress passed it, so its their fault. The fact that you still think Obama hasn’t apologized for America in 2009 because xyz Liberal Media Outlet says so proves my point.

I think the lower security is because of his failure to put forward a position of strength. When he apologized for our actions, he diminished our perceived authority and strength. Chicken & the egg.
