We don’t prevent terrorists or murderers by pretending they are anomalous monsters. We need to know what made them what they are. Because then we can help prevent them occurring in the first place. On your second post to me: Speaking as a motivational psychologist and a generally sensible person, people rarely do major things for one simple reason. Your point on how a “Radical Muslim could have just influenced the both” is both true and possibly irrelevant. A White Power radical could have influenced them both. (After all, they are from the Caucasus, the source of the name Caucasian!) Furthermore, there are lots of people influenced by radical Muslims, radical Christians, and other religions who do not throw bombs. You are jumping to a conclusion and demonizing an entire group based on no real data. Let’s find out what happened, let’s find out why, and then let’s take action that will work.
