    @simpsonfan2

    I can see what you are trying to do, but don’t you think it’s a bit problematic to use Islamic Fundamentalism as the reference point for all religious extremism?

    Well, there isn’t much scientific difference between humans and other animals, and we talk. Draw your own conclusions.

    Its both funny and sad the notions the most intelligent species on Earth gets into it’s head. We tell ourselves that we are the most intelligent therefore we must be correct.

    Hey, that’s not all they object to about Lewis. He smoked. He drank. And sometimes he actually agreed with Roman Catholics.

    “being religious” and “being scientific” are not mutually exclusive.[]For example, James Talmage, one of the most prominent thinkers and writers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, was a geologist by trade.[]His opus, “Jesus the Christ”, considers the life of Jesus Christ through the lens of science, and is so popular that it’s still in print almost 100 years later.[]He also famously argued for the inclusion of evolution as part of the church’s educational curriculum as far back as the 1930s, when other churches were still ignoring evolution’s existence.

    Its the same place Peter Griffin of Family Guy went to get a book on teaching Stewie to toilet train.He explained they were Catholic. So they handed him a book. “That is Evil coming out of You”.

    Chew on this one religious types. I have sought answers on this question with no results. I asked this question at age 7.Take the story.God created Man.All return eventually.Is that ALL of us going back to the earliest man or just the more present ones that created this rubbish.What about Egyptians, Mayans, American Indians all the races and folks of ancestral man.Do they all go to Heaven to be with the Creator too???Never ever got a good answer. I am 61 now.Instead I was handed to my parents at age 7 and told I was an evil child and would probably not make it to Heaven.Of course if I followed the PURIST views I would be condemned anyway. Too much so call BAD things done.But like Alfred E. Newman says “What, me worry?”

    So ong236 I can stop worrying about those folks? They are cared for. It may seem silly to some but this has really bothered me for a long time as you can see. You know that has bothered me for a long time. I could never get even the reverent person to tell me about it. They either did not know or only cared about themselves. Thanks. Seriously.And briatollah don’t forget that bushes burn there too. Burn yet not consumed. AND voices came out of it.I had something like that happened. Turned out I had drank a bit much and was watching a tumbleweed burn we had chunked on the fire and the radio was playing.My only true Religious moment came in a firefight in Nam. We had walked into an ambush. I felt and watched tracers and bullets whizz past crisscrossing in front of me. Hit and killed the guy in front of me and the guy behind me. How I did not get struck I don’t know. Later when we got back to base I gave it up to the Skypilot. Felt better after that. Not so afraid anymore.

    I too live in Texas. What would make us more forward???Now I have been to far east Texas. Woodville, the piney wood areas. There are some interesting folks living in those woods. But we here in the metroplex think we are quite ahead of the game.No Union runs our state. You don’t have to join one to work. No STATE INCOME tax. Sure we have a sales tax but EVERYONE pays it. Even me.Austin is home to many computer companies. Treyarch is one and they produce COD series. Now the most popular pass even Warcraft.
