    Hey everybody. True story, when I got back from ’Nam I bout a wig that pretty much matched my hair color. It was so I could go into the city without being harrassed by the anti-war civilians. Marine Corps frowned on long hair. My mother-in-law to be asked for my car keys to get something out of the trunk. I forgot the wig was laying on top of clothes in an open ditty bag. She opened the trunk and let out a scream that curdled buttermilk. My future father-in-law camw out the door with his gun. My intended and I figured out what happened real quick but my m-i-l, to be, took a while to settle down. I think that was a two valium event.

    I was thinking yesterday about all the old jokes running around in my head. I came up with one I can put here and y’all will like.

    There was a farmer who had two brothers as neighbors. Now, these guys were a little whacked, you know. Well, one spring day they approached the farmer and said, “Mr. Farmer, you have milk weed growing in your pasture. Could we go and get milk from it?”The farmer was a good man and told them if they could get milk out of milkweed, go ahead. They came back with ten gallons.Later in summer, they noticed buttercups were growing in the field and the farmer amiably agreed. They got ten pounds of butter.In the fall they noticed pussy willow growing by the pond. And started to politely ask. The farmer said, “Let me get my hat and coat. I’ll go with you.”

    Rocky Mountain Newsman Said about 2 Belt Notch Loosenings ago:

    .Debts and how to avoid them.Thanks for setting the tune properly, Chalkie j. The very first time I test drove before adding on and correcting, it worked. I checked and rechecked to see if I was doing it wrong. .Number Three said, about 8 rosy cheeky bears agoAwww… That’s nice. Is Ron’s ladyfriend called Maryann? Sorry if I’m wrong but I think I remember you saying that was her name.

    If she does decide to move in with Ron then I hope they enjoy living there together. Best of Luck to them.

    How did your VA check up go? I hope everything went fine.

    I hope you have a great weekend!

    P.S. I’m really sorry about your Aunt Linda. She’ll always be in my thoughts along with Eileen who I hope is continuing to improve.

    @Number Three.

    The check up went great and we gabbed afterward. The highlight of a good day. That’s Maryann; spot on !  May your weekend be swell as well. Thanks for the good tidings bearer. .John P., you know I meant the trunk “boot” ? No need to play the innocent….Thanks, bevie. If it doesn’t work right now I will have to consult The Old Wolf’s style and formatting guide to see if it’s been revised to reflect any changes that have been wrought..I saw that episode that Number Six linked to. Was at ListenUp earlier and asked if they had a multi region player. Not even a dedicated Region 2 unit. Methinks I must write to BBC or whoever owns the “Still Game” rights and ask if a Region 1 DVD set will be coming out. So many other Brit shows have it. .I hope Linda’s buttamilk pah tuhns out okay.

    @Gweedo Murray

    I’m happy that everything went well for you. My weekend is awesome so far… I hope yours is also.

    Glad I got her name right… I don’t normally get things right.

    LOL.

    I was looking for a teddy holding roses and the one I inserted was the cutest one I could find.

    I’m glad you liked it!

    I scanned my Hand on my Scanner. I’d i bore any Hacker looking for anything here. Even assuming nothing is ever deleted. The system was and is based on piracy so i just assume. Nothing personal, Ling. ;) Mis mejores deseos en la búsqueda de su Castillo!

    Free Gweedo Said:Happy family day, Linda.Another slice of Capp “pie”, dear ? I put the book in the mail earlier.

    Hope the weather cooperated with your activities today.Gordon

    It did! Coolish but gorgeously sunny and clear…we went to Famous Daves for dinner and I still have Bar Be Que sauce in strange places…lol…Lennie is grilling tomorrow and we are tossing a salad…a kick back Mothers day…my presents are their presence…(just as easy to answer you here…)

    ;-)

    Small hair Capp:

    Saw your note at B.S., Linguist. Glad to know you are getting “your valves seated”. Did you take your pup with you ?.Y,know… Mikey’s Capp definitely covers it !Good punchline too. The plumber’s torch was a nice blue collar everyday man touch. Thanks ! .Your rosey bear hit the spot, #3. Weekend is going well if not slightly hectic, but I’m past that now. Got my other oil line on after some duress an’ done some other stuff. Ken had got a new Modesty Blaise reprint book which I finished last night and am now on a copy of a Gianni and Schultz era Prince Valiant. I think the artwork and story, that I have read so far, is up to par. It don’t know if it wants to rain or not. I hope to do something in the garden tomorrow..For anyone who enjoyed Number Six’s Still Game “Cairds” episode, you’ll fall off your couch on this one.“Fresh Lick”If you’ve ever enjoyed 3 Stooges where they’re doing house painting or some kind of construction, then this one’s for you ! .I hope Linda can get this one up today.

    OK Gweedo, you got me on the “boot”. I forget we are gathering at a British Pub. That “boot” would have tied you in knots. It was a ’71 Mach 1. It was an awful big car to have so small a back seat and trunk.
