the Sequester was Obama’s idea and Obama’s proposal.Congress voted for it, figuring an agreement on spending would prevent it. Obama was “my way or the highway”…more taxes and token “cuts”, some of his were Fake “cuts”…Even under the triggered Sequester, the agencies had authority to prioritize spending and to cut less important duties; but Varvel is correct, the Obama administration chose the most visible, the most public, the most bothersome cuts to hurt the people who use services such as airline flights….some for important business trips…so Obama is harming the economy for his Agenda and Political Purposes.

The sequester was to “satisfy” Congressional Republicans: period. Next, the first place all agencies HAVE to look is reducing personnel costs with RIF, furlough, or not filling open positions. It’s happened many times. If you want to know who REALLY screwed up air traffic by firing controllers to “bust unions”, look no further than Ronnie Ray-gun.

Mr. King said, about 1 hour ago@disgustedtaxpayer “Just because your keep repeating those misrepresentations of the facts, it won’t make them true. Maybe with your close circle of friends at the local bar, or when you call in to A.M. talk radio, but not here.”-Mr.King, you are factually wrong on all counts.*I do not misrepresent the facts I found from reliable sources and I expect my words to be justified in my heavenly judgment.*I never have been in a bar for companionship, I am age 80 and a great grandmother and I gave my life to Jesus in 1963, and frequenting alcoholic places is not on God’s approved list.*I no longer phone in to talk radio, it is too much of a stress.I post opinion on gocomics instead. -An apology would be very gentlemanly.

Let’s not forget it was our president who initiated the sequester idea. Have you noticed it is ALWAYS the things that the public enjoys and needs that get cut so they hurt and squeal? How about eliminating foreign aide, and military jet gifts to Egypt rather than closing parks and making air traffic controllers go on furlough?

http://www.politico.com/story/2013/04/are-dems-blinking-first-on-aviation-cuts-90653.html?hp=t1_3-prints 4 pages on the left-leaning, pro-Dem Politico.“Furloughs of 15,000 air traffic controllers and shutdowns of dozens of control towers…” see my WSJ article url…FAA employees emailed Sen. Coburn that this was a deliberate plan by FAA to “send a message to the American people that they better beat on the doors of their congressmen and women and say ‘We can’t afford to reduce the increase in spending’…” said Sen.Jerry Moran who also called the aviation cuts ‘a manufactured problem’…intended to throw cold water on attempts to rein in spending."-Dem.Sen.Reid has a bill that “should replace all the budget cuts” (cuts in the planned INCREASE OF SPENDING) "… but the bill the Senate approved at 8:30 p.m. by unanimous consent Thursday night is different, allowing a shifting $253 million In funds to the FAA operations account until the FY 2014 begins October 1, 2013.-Sen.McConnell said in part “Republicans have long said that the way to address these issues is through smarter cuts—-not tax hikes or phony savings.”……(Amen, McConnell!)
