PHANTOM: The dialog indicates P. is going to New York, but how he’s going to hop aboard the 707 is beyond me. ??JUDGE PARKER: Is Thalia going to ask Neddy for ransom money $$ ??MARY WORTH: Tom seems awfully needy. Would he react the same way to any woman who stopped by to cook a meal for him? REX MORGAN: My crystal ball says Milton has a medical crisis in his near future.
FUNKY W: This story arc is all about the dads:Frankie: Darrin’s bio-dad—see today’s strip.Fred Fairgood: Darrin’s adoptive dad.John Darling: Jessica’s late dad (who would have been Darrin’s father-in-law).Les: Summer’s dad (mom Lisa), Keisha’s step-dad (mom Cayla), and technically a step-dad to Darrin (after Lisa and Darrin were reunited shortly before Lisa died).Any corrections or additions welcome; I am a relative newcomer to the Funky Winkerbean strip.
Judge Parker – Finally, some action.Mark Trail – Maybe Mark can leave Wes there and come back with a helicopter.Phantom – As Woodworker and Florchi both have pointed out, hopping onto the plane is next to impossible, but he certainly cannot get inside of it. He must have something else in mind, like preventing the takeoff somehow.Rex Morgan – Florchi, I’m thinking he’ll have a heart attack right in the middle of the meeting.
Rex – My doctor’s office has a sign saying please do not use your phone when medical staffl are in the room. We cannot give you a thorough exam when you are on the phone.I think Milton willl have a heart attack before MondayJudge Parker – If Ross is in Africa, this could very well be happening, but I’m a little suspicious at this point.Mark Trail – Wes, someone is with Shelley. David makes a good suggestion.Phantom – Wolf takes care of the knife. Did Phantom give a secret command or did he just see the danger?Mary Worth – His diet won’t improve the way she’s pouring on the salt.
