Why yes I HAVE read a description of the Sandy Hook massacre. Dozens of them. Headline of every paper in America in fact. So, what’s your point.
But you know what these 2 cases DO have in common? We can’t make progress on anything in this country because nuts on both sides prevent even the slightest compromise on any given issue.
Why can’t we have background checks on gun purchasese? Because if we give in on that the left will come back with more demands because we all know the only reason they even bother with gun regulation is because they want to do away completely with guns in this country. And we know that because their leaders say it openly! But the Constitution guarantees my right to guns under any circumstances.
Now, just go back and reread that paragraph and substitute “3rd trimester abortions” for “background checks” and the word “abortion” for the word “gun.” Switch left and right in the second sentance.
This illustrates the irrationality of the debate so well. The republicans start ranting about dead fetuses and the democrats counter with dead children. The arguments around each issue will be continued ad infinitum, even though both have a myriad of laws against them (murdering children) and volumes of regulations controlling them (abortion). The press, the cartoonists, politicians love to fan the fire over these issues, it gets people fired up and responding while the most critical issues facing our country go lingering. So while people are out of work and feeling hopeless, scared they will be thrown out of their homes, others hungry, the mentally ill wandering the streets and criminals conducting urban warfare over drugs and crime, we focus on immigration, abortion, and gun control. It is not to denigrate these issues, but the economic deterioration continues and we are continually avoiding making hard choices that will get us back on a path of prosperity.

another Moronic cartoon that twists truth…this cartoonist needs to research the stats on how manylegal gun owners use their weapon to murder; as opposed and measured by the numbers of murdered pre-borns and the abuses by “doctors” (Gosnell for 31 years has harmed pregnant females and certainly harmed the aborted victims)that “pro-choice” (to murder the helpless preborn) is responsible for and IMO should be prosecuted for doing!-
