    I’ll go with you on numbers 1, 2 and 5 Susan but I must point out that back on May 16th, JanCinLV said, “I just looked back at the May 4 strip. The brooch is in the soup tureen. It went flying when Smokey Stover almost ran her over.”

    So it would seem the butler served up the brooch in Slim’s soup bringing us to today’s action.

    Congats to JanCinLV for great powers of observation and go with that for #4.
