This may be why I don’t always find things in the last place I look, but someplace I already looked.
When this happens to me (which is just about always, every day) I have to retrace my steps to the place where I had the thought initially, then going to the room that has the item, all the while talking to myself so I won’t forget again.
I read somewhere that walking though doorways makes you forget. I walk thought a lot of doors.

Happens to me all the time. Sometimes I will write down what I am looking for and forget to look at the list.
Hooray for getting old! Beats the alternative.
