Let’s face it—filibuster reform is what will save us. How do we get filibuster reform passed in both Houses when the money interests like it the way it is—that a SINGLE legislator can place a SECRET hold on ANY legislation?Whelp—we’re screwed.
When the next mass shooting occurs, and we all know it will, we will have the exact same discussion. We will have similar poll numbers stating how many people want this or that. We will have hand-wringing and speeches about how it’s past time to do this or that, and also how it won’t make any difference to try.
In the end, votes will be taken and nothing will change.

So true. The cowardice of the congress is unutterable. The entire nation is shamed by the mugs of NRA that buy off representatives so more people will die.
John Deering just did a similar Lib political cartoon. Are these cartoonists just given a list by their masters to all draw copycat ‘toons? But I ask here just as I asked in Deering’s ’toon:

Here’s your answer, in the form of a question: why have ANY laws? Criminals don’t obey them; that’s why they’re criminals. And if there are no laws, there’s no legal system and no jails. What a wonderful world that would be.

To Ruff AND Night-Gaunt49:You really THINK, that a person ready to commit MURDER, or MASS murder is thinking about the laws they’re breaking? You think they’re concerned about the loopholes? You think re-navigating how to get a gun will KEEP a gun(s) out of their hands? There’s ALREADY laws against murder, theft, much less theft of guns, yet the people still do it. You think that because of new laws that’ll stop the already ILLEGAL possession of guns will STOP??? All these new laws will do is make it harder to keep civil law-abiding American citizens from their Constitutional RIGHTS to own arms!

I did address the toon. Barry pushed for more government regulation(surprise) and the people’s representatives(D & R) rejected it immediately.
Thus the lame duck prez comment. If you need to, you can google the term “lame duck”. I didn’t know I had to explain my comments to adults.
