Either that or Tiff stole her acceptance letter and replaced it with a fake.

My guess: Quinn tells Tiffany he won’t go to camp without Luann. TIffany tells the camp she won’t go to camp without Luann. The camp relents but Tiffany must tutor Luann for remedial acting classes.

Time for Quill to save the day and find a way to get the rejection repealed!

Uh. People. A role, no matter how small, in an actual completed and distributed professional movie is worth WAY more than any role in a high school production. Tiff got in there on her merits, on her willingness to plan, to take action, to work hard, and to put herself in a position to work with PROFESSIONALS.

Furthermore, Tiff has a long and well-documented history of public performance (beauty contests) which not only succeeded, but required hard work and discipline. This is truth, regardless of what you think of Tiff.

Luann didn’t do any of that, so she doesn’t get in.

Nothing to do with this rejection or acceptance, but do you people remember few days ago that Quill texted Luann AND Tiffany he is coming over to a drama camp:http://www.gocomics.com/luann/2013/05/14

Why would he inform Tiffany about it ? Now it’s becoming a real thriller.

If the letters gave a full list of people who were accepted, then Quill would already know Luann wasn’t accepted. How does Tiffany know that Quill was accepted and Luann wasn’t? She couldn’t. So I think she’s actually curious rather than tormenting Luann with knowledge that Luann was turned down… Well Luann, I am sorry for you and Quill, but you two were going to arrange to be together right under Tiff’s nose at camp, so how does that feel? I’d love to get the details on exactly why Quill can’t back out of the camp….

Does Tiffany not want to see Luann Happy?

Something’s rotten in the state of Denmark. Luann, you should look into this a little more deeply and find out if Tiff has manipulated the system against you; or if there is still another chance of getting into drama camp….

OK, that pretty well confirms that Tiffany was somehow behind Luann’s rejection. I could be wrong, but if it’s true, it’s a new low for this tramp.

Well, it is drama camp. Let the drama begin…

Quill: Well, I can’t cancel, but Drama Camp will be awful without YOU!

I wonder what he’s is telling Tiff. Somehow I doubt he’s telling her how unhappy he is with the situation.

Is Quill buttering both sides of the bread? I am starting to suspect that he is.

The first thing Luanne’s mother should have taught her: A man’s not worth fighting over, and the one that IS, won’t make you fight. Aaron Hill was a flake and a half, now Quill is a disappointment. Can’t Luann be interested in anything except boys? At her age, she should be working toward a decent goal, not heading for early marriage.

Tiff and Luann have had an on again, off again relationship. Yes, it’s been mainly off, but there have been times when they’ve been best buds.

There was one time they discovered they made a wicked team in volleyball. They hung out together for several days until the subject of Aaron Hill came up. That drove a wedge between them that eventually restored balance to the universe.

Too many comments to read this a.m. I bet she sent in the ap too late and there were no more slots. And Quill could cancel—Dad would just lose the fees. So he probably means he =shouldn’t= cancel.

Luann will be put on a cancellation list. Someone will cancel, she gets to go. Unfortunately, the cancelee was Quill, and Luann has to bunk with Tiff.

Hmmmm… Mail Tampering?

OK, so I was wrong; she didn’t make the waiting list. She needs to find a way to work there, either paid or as a volunteer.

“What about a scene where Quill strangles Tiff?”--I’ll buy tickets for that Dave.

Poor Lu. Well we’ll get to see Quill’s true colours now, won’t we.

Luann will somehow end up working at the camp. See almost any Teen-angst triangle driven movie that includes the kids singing and dancing.

@jpirard—- I hadn’t considered that Quill’s father might have paid for the trip, good call. Quill couldn’t very well say ‘Well I was only going to see a girl, and she’s not going so…’ // You’re right, Quill and Luann do have a genuine commitment to each other, so it’s not the same if they date under Tiff’s nose. But I’m a little mad at Quill, the drama camp was Tiff’s idea, and he snatched it up to be with Luann knowing Tiff would be there. Not wrong, but not classy either…

With any luck, we may learn that the rejection letter was sent to the wrong person. Otherwise, this twist in the story is just plain sadistic.

You know if you think about it, Tiffany did made the suggestion to Quill first about the camp and he did follow suit along with Luann. It is possible that she knows someone in charge of admissions who was able to get Quill accepted and Luann rejected if she has been to this camp before.

Some have said that Quill couldn’t back out because his parents paid for camp…. well, some places do allow a refund if requested before said camp actually begins….. If Quill CAN’T cancel because of a non-refundable fee, this point is valid….-But as krondor2000 mentioned, if Tiffany was able to arrange to have Quill in and maybe Luann out, then the whole fee thing is kinda moot….-In addition, as Dave53 points out, it seems that the events are seeming to point in the direction of testing Lu’s/Quill’s relationship in it’s young stage (literally and figuratively), and there still is the question of trust, communication, and perception….

What, no slings, arrows of outrageous fortune, or tempests that fret across some stage with poison and some dude from Avon cosmetics, with a weird penchant for having a skull in his hand?

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Now, here’s what I’d like to see. Luann’s Mom takes her to see a play, to cheer her up since she’s depressed over her nonacceptance to drama camp. A main character in the play quits; the director sees Luann and remembers her past performance, and offers her the role. While TIff and Quill are just at camp, Luann is being paid to actually act. Of course, that could only happen in a universe where Greg Evans LIKES his main character…

Quill was awfully quick to let Tiff know he was going to be at drama camp.

My guess is that Tiff didn’t read the whole letter and she was also rejected.

Guys, does THIS look like Tiffany had anything to do with Luann not getting accepted?(5/15/2013)Tiffany never keeps secrets from Crystal. And whenever she does something sneaky or underhanded, she always gloats about it to Crystal. I see no hint of any of that in this strip. So I highly doubt Tiffany connived, schemed, or plotted in any way, shape or form to get Luann rejected from Drama Camp.

You are just going to have to come up with another reason, that’s all.

Yes, Quill is lamenting to Luann that she can’t be at Drama Camp, but what is he saying to Tiffany? I predict that we will never see that. Why? Is Quill two-timing Luann? Inquiring minds want to know.

I am guessing that Quill’s parents have put down a sizable non-refundable deposit on the camp and have purchased non-refundable tickets from Australia. I highly doubt he would want to go to his dad at this point and say, “Nah, I’ve changed my mind”. His name would be “Mud” after that.

The Q man is going to suspect something is up, and he’s going to go digging. He’ll find how Tiff sabotaged her application, and together he & Luann will foil her intent!

Who Ann Eiffel?

Tiffany is only asking because she is the one that probably called and cancelled Luann’s application. Tiffany is probably checking to see if her scam worked. No doubt, Tiffany is involved in Luann not going.

I don’t know for certain sure Karen is writing but I am certain sure Greg isn’t doing the drawing.

Wooooow….. Yeah, you’re right about the touchy feely in the world… these days are not the same…. and you also wont be able to sneeze without getting "sued for contamination to someone else’s air, plus ‘damages’ "….
