It refers to the fact that Haredi Jews, the most orthodox, are exempt from mandatory military service in Israel. There is a movement on to change that law and make the Haredi serve.

All Jews, whether in Israel or the Diaspora, whether religious or secular, have a right, and a duty, to defend themselves. As Joseph Trumpledor, a twentieth-century pioneer, whose service in the Czar’s Navy was not appreciated, said: “It is good to die for one’s country—it is good to have a coiuntry to die for.”

AMEN! Tell the truth, Brother! we became what we once despised. that the mandate following the Nazi Holocaust to find a home for Jews should have transformed us by transgression upon the Palestinians into the nature of ruthless, occupying forces, is tragic.

Yes, if you know your history, Jordan was once called Transjordan and was the East Bank of Palestine. Why no one brings this up, including the Israelis, I don’t know.
