Somehow, I don’t see how cartoons portraying IRS agents as actively evil helps the matter. They don’t design the tax code, they’re no more evil than traffic cops, and if no one did their job, America would fail as people like Romney, Leona Helmsley, and Grover Nordquist stop paying taxes at all.
A friend went to work for IRS. The put him on "corporate accounts. In his first four cases, he collected over $23 million in unpaid taxes. They moved him over to chasing down drug dealers. He caught them too, but had to leave and “disappear” for a while, but considered the “corporate dudes” the bigger crooks.
