@shel4 I think Maggie’s hairstyle goes back to the earliest days of the strip. She looks wrong to me, too. It seems she had a straight back style when I saw the strip in the 50’s-60’s (?), with a knot at back, same as the style shown in this strip. It wasn’t curly though in later days.
