If the cartoon didn’t make me feel like crying, I’d be laughing.Too bad Mr. Obama didn’t run as a Republican, they would have been so much more supportive.Sadly,C.
Now THAT’S funny. Your very sentence contradicts itself. “You criticize him, yet you laud his every move.” Did you even read it before pressing Submit ? What a dip.
Does that then make them anymore hypocritical than you (and some other ultra conservatives here) that NEVER have anything to say that is in the slightest bit complimentary about our current elected president? As RT has stated (and some others such as myself) the actual truth ( like the truth in almost any human activity) lies somewhat in the middle. President Obama does not always do the correct thing, but also at times he is not always doing the wrong thing either. Heck, although I disagreed in general with many of his policies, I had at least some complimentary things that I thought that former president GW Bush also accomplished.
Just as one such an example. Being a relatively heavy duty supporter of the space program and NASA, I thought his re direction of that agency was a truly excellent thing. It is not his fault that Congress would not back he or NASA up with reasonable funding to accomplish what he wished that excellent agency to do.
Heck, if president Obama were to come out for such traditional American values as “Mom’s apple pie”, there are at least some on these comments that would then say that mothers are somehow unconstitutional, and apple pies are a Communist plot to ruin America! I would actually wish that would just be hyperbole on my part, but I am afraid after seeing most of the posts of our more ultra conservative members, that it is not just hyperbole, and that actually saddens me somewhat!
Thank you Howie. My back is hurting really bad as I take this break to sit down and take my mind off of the pain, and the tone your words took in my mind just made me smile, and then laugh.^I know why you disagree, but if you recall, I’ve expressed my disappointment with Mr. Obama’s “liberal” credentials. I lean with those who consider him to be a moderate republican in his actions, despite his stand on gays and abortion. He gave Mr. Boehnor 95% of what Mr. Boehnor wanted (in 2010) in order to get the agreement that gave us the sequester, the best Mr. Obama could do. He adopted Mr. Romney’s healthcare plan for Mass., and he adopted Mr. Rubio’s immigration plan. He set aside environmental issues in favor of jobs. I can continue, but perhaps your grimace will become more of a grin in light of these words. ^I voted for Mr. Obama in 2008. I believed his words and thought he could be a game changer. I liked Mr. McCain, but numerous changes he made to his ‘agenda" and my concern about Ms. Palin, cemented my decision to vote FOR Mr. Obama. In the last election, I voted AGAINST Mr. Romney. I had no one to vote for. It was like winning a pool game because the other player scratched on the shot. You didn’t win. He lost.Have a good weekend Howie.Enjoy your happy place. Do you remember where the words “death panels” came from? I could go on for days, but the republicans are every bit as nasty.
^I like that. Nosy Nazi’s!. The Nazi’s forced women to carry the fetus’s of the correct genotype to term. But lest someone accuse me of comparing republicans and Nazi’s – I am not. The difference between the Nazi’s and the republicans, is that the Nazi’s educated and supported the children these women bore.
