A real liberal couldn’t get elected. As it is, we can’t even get moderate appointments through the Senate.

Anyone who voted to allow Bush to destroy Iraq is not responsible enough to lead the US. That would include Hillary.

Too bad for you it is true. Hillary is NOTHING like a liberal. Just like her husband, she is a centrist, and, if anything, right-leaning corporatist. For God’s sake, she was a topflight lawyer before the politics got started, hardly a wild-eyed radical.Remember: Teddy Roosevelt would be considered radical today.

the only liberal I know was Kucinich, and he said to give his vote to Obama…………..Elizabeth Warren. Could get behind her big time.

a liberal is someone who doesn’t like what capitalism does to people, but likes capitalism. a liberal is someone who fears the working class more than the capitalist class.

hilary clinton is a liberal, and has no solutions to the capitalist crisis, because there are none within the framework of capitalism.

His dad was smart, sometimes too smart. I have yet to observe Justin’s virtues.

It’s a parliamentary system. You can be PM for ever, and Pierre almost was. Justin is Pierre’s son. No relation to GB.

What’s he gonna say — “Let’s continue these internal wars in the party!!”? No, I’m impressed by the Ontario Liberal leader, Kathlyn Wynne — about the first thing she did was to make herself the Minister of Agriculture — as a sign that she takes that part of the economy and society seriously. Of course she also hopes to get some rural votes, which she certainly could use. But still the symbolism was good.

I suppose liberal in the traditional vs american sense. Essentially the open up the globe and if you fall into the gutter spend your last days praying for help.

Then again on social stance that may change to neo-conservative liberal with lack of opposition to ANDA, PATRIOT act and so forth.

I’ve watched the race for a few weeks, can’t say anything bad about him, not because he is perfect but because his only attributable political quality is that he is a good orator. His speeches filled with fluff, contradiction. As well as what i find to be an unhealthy affixation on the middle class, typically ignoring any of those below and saying that he will not punish any above. His foreign policy stance is non-existent. The only thing i’ve heard proposed is a target of 70% post-secondary education

Hillary couldn’t run a bait shop without Bill telling her what to do.

Whether or not Hillary is a liberal is beside the point. It comes down to who is nominated, and who is the opposition. For better or worse.

You know Tigger, you really should expand your horizons. If you can find a copy, read The Bridge at Chappaquidick. No longer in print, but it sets out a more believable story than Teddy’s “heroic” attempts to “rescue” Ms. Kopechne. His obfuscations did not help his reputation.

She voted no on FISA, otherwise she’s pretty much cut out of the same cloth as Obama.
