Not so sure how well the two got along, especially considering the fact that Mr. Reagan initiated an attack on Grenada (a “just” war, I’m certain), which is a British protectorate. Forgot to talk to Ms. Thatcher first….
I think if you look at the figures, you will find Bill Clinton presided over the biggest peacetime expansion in history. Reagan presided over the morphing of the tax code away from investors and corporations and toward the individuals. There’s a reason the young adults during Reagan’s administration were called part of the “me” generation.
During his administration, most every middle-class department store went out of business. Cheap flourished, and so did way expensive; but middle went down. And so it goes today.
And don’t forget one of the largest tax increases ever, in 1986. In all, Reagan raised taxes 11 times; this according to his budget director. Even he realized that deficit spending would turn evil.
And can anyone tell me why so many people who think government is the problem are so willing to become part of the problem?
Yes, Reagan said that. Then he vastly increased the size of the government. With Reagan, and similar con artists, you need to look at what they DO, not what they SAY. Your opinion will change greatly.

I call BS. If Reagan were running today, you’d call hime a RINO and run him out of town.

Reagan and Thatcher were in bed together. “Give to the rich and to Hell with the poor.”

Maybe it helps, passes the time waiting for congress to do anything to veto or sign, possibly annotated.
