Checkers doomsday nuclear launch system is used only after clearing own troops from the field.

Worry not. Our little Calvin undoubtedly has thought this out and this win will shake Hobbes right out of his stripes. Trust me.

Is Calvin Checkers anything like Calvin Ball, where you make up the rules as you go along? Because if it is, resistance is futile and Calvin can win without any checkers left at all!

What an amazing attitude. He is inspiring people facing difficult issues in their lives and that’s not just a joke.

I’ve always thought that either Hobbes is really good or Calvin is really crappy.

Puddleglum2,I response to your reply Saturday, my objection is to the doctrine of fundamentalism, that the bible is word for word exact truth (even the translations to english), no interpretation allowed. The King James version says that the earth is a circle and the sky is a solid dome with the stars attached to it.. The bible gives 3 as the value of pi.

Some early versions of the bible do not say that Mary was a virgin. Much has been added later. Mention of Jesus in Josephus’ history is believed to have been added later.

The bible is not a good science book.

When I was a kid, we would play checker with my Dad. He would back you into a corner and then turn the board around and switch sides taking the disadvantaged position. most of the time he could still win even with few pieces left.

Puddleglum2Just don’t claim your 2000 year old book is the unquestioned absolute truth and expect me to believe with no supporting evidence or independent historical sources.

When my son was small we play checkers and I try not to get jumped. His teachers say he sometimes cheat at checkers. My son say you have to keep game going and either way get jumped on.
