When I saw the video of him missing shot after shot I knew it was going to be in and editorial comic soon. I’m not surprised it’s Mr. Payne, nor do I totally disagree with the comment made. Mr. Obama’s shots always came close, but missed by just a bit. He has taken shots using republican ideas, but because the GOP had a goal of making Mr. Obama a one term president, they blocked every effort, even if the efforts made were introduced by republicans initially. That game strategy turned Dem’s against him and they stayed home in 2010.^Now in his second term, and with very slender gains, the focus – which should be on jobs – is not only diverted elsewhere, but the jobs we have gained are endangered by the sequester. People were starting to spend more money. Hiring among businesses with fewer than 20 employees was up, and even the car and real estate market is seeing gains. There is little optimism that increased spending will continue as people see cuts to pay and services. ^I hope Mr. Obama gets his game back. But if he can’t find teammates willing to create a winning season, from both parties, I fear our country will lose. Can we really wait until 2016? We are pawns in a game between Dems and Republicans and they turn us against each other instead of us looking for ways to replace career politicians with Americans willing to serve their nation with honor. ^Respectfully,C.

Right, I don’t know how to take your reply. Both parties seek super majorities over their rivals. Just like in states like NC who are using their supermajority to tax the parents of out of state students who want to vote from their NC address. This would be a form of a poll tax. The other examples of state super majorities are a warning to the Nation as a whole. While I believe the Dems are less a threat than Repubs as far as authoritarian “In your face” legislation goes, it is only because the Dems do not have an unshakeable supermajority. So many Dems are from red states, if they vote too closely with the far left of the D party, they know they will lose their seats. Reid won’t allow many votes to come to the floor because he doesn’t want his red state dems to face criticism from the right or the left.^As far as things not being Obama’s fault…pick a topic. Some things are totally owned by him and for which he deserves all the criticism he gets. Other things were inherited by him and he’s done a remarkable job considering the low quality of support he has received from either party. And the greatest blame goes to the legislature and both sides of the aisle.. I refer to them as “the cannibalistic congress” because they eat their own and care nothing for voters who don’t bring job security to the table. These alleged law makers give themselves pensions, protections, and spend more time soliciting fund than doing their jobs and then they stand in front of media cameras managed by corporate donors and lie to us and divide us.^If you are only blaming one side, I suggest you are allowing them to win. Dems AND Repubs.Respectfully,C.

Because the GOP have allowed zero jobs bills to pass congress, and forced through the sequester at a time when we need the government to stimulate the economy. The CBO predicted bad job growth after the sequester, and the GOP got what it wanted. Why does anyone vote for these cynical, corrupt criminals? They’re doing exactly what the conservatives over in Europe are doing, and we’re getting the same results.

Good cartoon, but for a really accurate comparison of Obozo’s basketball skills and his economic policies:

    1. Obozo would be demonstrating his cluelessness about the game by trying to throw the ball UP through the basket.(2) Obozo would be demonizing the other players who DID know how to play the game by calling them selfish greedy pigs.

Either way, there’s a clueless amateur in the White House trying to do a professional’s job.

What’ll we have when Obama is gone? He’s already done thrown out the rules. What’s the next Pres. going to do? Borrow ideas from Kim Jung Il?
