New faces in the Nancy strip…this is almost too much to take in!So, if the’re referred to as “Uncles” in quotes, what is their real releationship?

Guy has truly taken “possession” of the strip. My hat’s off to you, Guy – Ernie would be happy – and proud!

I’m curious about their blood relationship to Sluggo.
katina.cooper about 11 years ago
Should have been the other way. There’s a lot more of Les and there is a lot less of ’Mor. Weight, that is.

After 80 years of Nancy the “uncles” show up?

I notice Phil is turning into a hunk for Aunt Fritz. About 6 months ago Phil was a little wimp about half the size of Fritz and now he is just as tall as her if not taller and more masculine than he was when we first met him. He is a good influence for Sluggo.

One of the most bravest special forces during the Vietnam war were known as the Tunnel Rats.

Either these fellows are prematurely gray, or they’ve had face lifts. They look about 20 with costume beards.

Whoa, it looks like the guys form Duck Dynasty! Or ZZ Top.

as this arc continues, the first word that comes to mind is lame. i like the idea of phil taking sluggo under his wing - that’s pretty good - but les and ‘more? really weak and unclever — imo the whole idea of sluggo is that he’s a loner and a layabout, kind of the opposite of nancy. now he’s turning into a male version of nancy for no good reason.

“I’m buying breakfast.”
I think that’s an excellent way to introduce yourself.

How do you tell them apart?
fuzz3942 about 11 years ago
Exactly Dan, that’s what I was thinking. Phil has changed.
If the “uncles” are truck drivers you think they could have left the house in better shape. Oh well…..
QuietStorm27 about 11 years ago
Maybe they should give Sluggo just a little bit of their hair. They’d have plenty left.

Hmmm… More is Less and Les is More… Interesting…
