REX MORGAN: What is the significance of the next patient? Another Aunt Melissa? Why is June being warned to cut down on her work. Is that possible for someone married and working for/with someone like Rex?

MARY WORTH: Beth has high expectations; let’s hope they can be fulfilled (an ugly ogre named “mother” is working in the background to make sure her hopes are not fulfilled.

APT3G: Weekly review, ho hum; even the week’s events are ho-hum.

FUNKY W. & JUDGE PARKER: Les apparently considers writing the screenplay for “Lisa’s Story” to be hard work and consequently it appears that he is writing a script for a film that would present the story in the most boring way possible. On the other hand, Alan views writing the screenplay for his recent best-selling book to be a challenge and he’s looking forward to the challenge, so perhaps he will be able to pull it off and write something that would “show” rather than just “tell”…and would work on the screen. FUNKY W. I don’t quite get the last 2 panels of today’s strip. JUDGE PARKER: In the single “Meanwhile” panel allotted them today, Abbey and Neddy are exchanging words that are starting to sound like an argument about the money Ned gave to Thalia.

Phantom – Mandrake the Magician makes a crossover into The Phantom!Mandrake – I thought the new improved Comics Kingdom would give us a Sunday Mandrake, but I was wrong.

@Florchi, good observations on these two scriptwriters.

Funky – I think the last panel could mean he thinks he’s doing a great job, maybe even finished. Is the next to last panel what’s happening outside or a memory?

Mary Worth – Tom is jumping to a conclusion too quickly. They haven’t known each other long enough to think about spending the rest of their lives together. But both are lonely and a little desparate. As to Elinor, some people react this way to a health scare. Others resolve to live a healthier lifestyle, stay active and positive.Prince Valiant – They are talking about self-government!Will Gawain stay with Rhoda?
