The Republicans think if they hold their nose and vote for an immigration bill, the Hispanics will come to them. But they’ve got nothing to offer. Recent polls show that Hispanics like Obamacare a lot (it will help them immensely since many don’t get coverage at work), they like gun safety, they like public works projects, they like roads, they like functioning government, and are even majority pro-choice. The GOP is not a natural fit with any demographic in America any more, except very rich people and anti-Choice, anti-gay purists.
Yup, the progressive path stretches before us as far as the eye can see. It is the road to hell and self destruction for a people who were once free. Nothing the conservatives can do about it now. They’re outnumbered by a myopic majority who care only for their own selfish needs and don’t want to believe in a higher power than themselves. If you’re one of the few conservatives left, grit your teeth and hang on for dear life, because it’s gonna be one hell of a toboggan ride down the slippery slope to ruin.
Conservative principles???-Like tax breaks for the wealthy?-Voter suppression?-Fiscal responsibility? Like when ‘conservatives’ were in power?-Smaller government? Like when ‘conservatives’ were in power?-A laser-like focus on jobs, jobs, jobs?-If we just repeal Obamacare, our health care system will be wonderful?-Family values? (insert your own punch line)
