Republican-on-Republican sex is disgusting to me and dangerous to the human race, but I’m okay with it because it’s none of my business.

You DO realize that Prop 8 was backed by millions of out-of-state money and highly mobilized conservatives, don’t you? It does not, in fact, represent the views of most Californians, who took it for granted that it would pass and were blindsided by a more effective vote mobilization effort. And evidence shows that American views on this have shifted RAPIDLY. Now, I don’t think Prop 8 would pass even with the money thrown at it.

“Do you honestly think if the vote happened today it would still pass?”That’s why so many so called conservatives rushed to amend constitution of so many states when they did. They knew it was only a matter of time before they’d loose the majority.

It’s true that there are more than a handful of big-government busybodies who want to control your life by legal proclamation of morality. Besides the conservative supremes, there are all but one Republican senator, and at last count, about six Democratic senators. Fortunately, on this particular subject, bigots are changing their mind or dying off faster than new bigots can be created.

It’s not that they look alike – it’s that they think alike. If their emotionally-charged “logic” can be termed “thinking”. If they only knew a bit of history – or a sense of reality… straight people also practice sodomy…duh! In fact, thanks to the Catholic Church stopping people from getting condoms without a prescription in Ireland for decades, the most common form of birth control in Ireland was sodomy! Now ya know! Suck it up!

Justice Scalia was correct…sodomy was illegal since the founding of the USA.As Dennis Prager explains in his article today(www.realclearpolitics.com….“The Bible vs. Heart”….printed 3 pages) Our Founders based our form of government, which was unique in the world, on the Moral Standard of the Bible.-Unfortunately, the sinful nature of mankind causes good institutions to go into error and decline. Britain was ahead of America in the descent, but the last half of the 20th century sped the decline in the USA.-God does have a final Judgment Day coming, so I post warnings and invitations for every reader to think again and seek the truth that leads to God’s blessings in eternity…which no human can stop or prevent. Sin is so serious that God the Son had to pay the sin-debt of physical death, but rose from the grave in victory over death and offers All People the forgiveness and the new life with God.

“Americans want Gay Marriage ?…….really? Top Ten.”I suppose your ancestors wrote letters to the editor explaining that we had more important problems than rebelling against the British, ending slavery, giving women the vote, outlawing child labor…

My position is not that same-sex marriage is the most important issue facing the country, but it’s one where the “right thing to do” is clear, and readily done. Just recognize them already, across the board, and move on.

There’ll be a big party for a few days, and a short-term rush to City Hall (and/or the altar), and then it’s done (and no longer news-worthy).

Even if you think it’s “a bad idea but inevitable,” why not rip the band-aid off all at once, and help facilitate the transition?

“Marriage” has historically also meant “one man, multiple women”, and “one woman, multiple men” (polyandry is rare, but not unknown). It also means “one metal, and another metal.” It even means “one bottle of ketchup, and another bottle of ketchup.”

Why don’t YOU pick another word to suit YOUR limited definition?
