I have seen a very daring mechanic remove something under pressure that way (my man is not so foolish).

I finished off a serious backlog at Comics Kingdom. For about two minutes I was all caught up with my comics.

Looks like Mildred is overhauling an antique farm tractor in the basement. When she’s done Marcus can sell the ox and plow the south forty in luxury.

    Hello All!

I’m here again….I almost hate to say the computer is doing OK at the moment….let me look for some wood to knock.

I’m waaay behind on commenting….but I just had to take a little downtime.Actually I guess you could call part of it “Downton Abbey time.”

For a couple of days I’ve had nothing on my mind but computer problems…and it could get that way again, if what I did didn’t fix it…but for right now… I can breathe!

Mildred does seem to subscribe to the theory that if you’re not getting pressure readings in the desired range, you need only remove the offending gauge.

    Presto!

No more bad readings!Out of sight, out of mind.

X from yesterday’s forum a few hours ago…Yes….That was exactly what I’ve always thought about capacitors…

but in part of the time I was missing this evening….while trying not to think about computers…and I’m sure you know how well that works…

I did a little Googlingand read a few forums where people were discussing it, with no consensus.

Most threads were too old to have relevance to my computer…but I did read that today’s power supplies never completely shut down…

there are not only the regular capacitors but a small flow of electricity always in the motherboard…part of the quick booting technology…and some believe that what I did does help discharge it.

Who knows.I’ll believe it unless my system crashes again.

Red…. I knew what you meant…just teasing about the apparent typo..I shouldn’t, cos I make so many.

Feel free to point them out in retaliation…… LOL

Meanwhile, I was wandering myself…. so nice to be able to roam the comics again….

Hope it continues but …one day at a time.

Did you see MY dragon…. Stel took a picture…

Speaking of pictures….X… that cat with her claws out….I know how it looks…but really, Polly was just spreading her claws so I could do her nails….Look at the dreamy expression on her face. She almost falls asleep, purring….She just loves the attention.

We were about to do her favorite glitter mauve.

and all those coming in later in their mornings….

(Say…. now that you’ve outed my dragon, Stel….do you think I can walk him in daylight on Ballard Street?)

G’night Fenton…sounds like you have something to think about….

Whatever the fluid situation that Mildred’s dealing with is, if i were Marcus, I would quietly put down my magazine, get up from my chair, go to the front door, open it, then run like hell !

FURNACE TALES: Right after my comment last night I noticed smoke eminating from the basement. I met my lover down in my basement (and there probably had been smoke because most of the control wires were burnt out) but the only ones upstairs were my 4 teen kids (who were used to mom keeping an eye on all repairs to learn about fixing things myself).

He took care of my furnace that very night (and “no-heat” calls still get top priority in his business with no mention of after hours or weekends). His cusomers (both homes and commercial places) are all very loyal because of his excellent work and dedication. I appreciated his knowledge too, but I saw so much more as he talked about women; currently just separated he thought all women were just about deception so I set out to convince him otherwise and (tho’ he left before the kids awoke) I knew he was the one for me by that time ;-D.

To the tower, Rapunzel to the Tower!!!!!!!!I just wonder is she licensed for Hydrodynamics?Just got her HVAC/HEAT license and wanting to convert from Fuel oil heating to natural gas the clean alternative. That would explain the black stain on her dress and the soot coming from the basement.

And so we see another episode of the dynamitic duo, one duo being more dynamitic than the other. Shirley has once again shed her polka dots and taken matters into her own hands. Having carefully walked the line of self determination for many years nothing can detour her from the challenge of the day. Not the explosion, the fire or the flood. She learned long ago, what can be yanked out can be hammered in. If you get it, no explanation is necessary, if you don’t, no explanation is possible. Shut up Marcus, who told you to wake up anyhow.

Surely, Shirly…. you clearly didnt give Marcus a chance to provide you important information that you may not be aware of…. like, uh….your tracking a bunch of sh!! all over yer carpet, and YOU know how long it’s going to take you to scrub THAT out….(he’s just trying to be helpful….)
