Yes…I’m guessing Emmy Lou must have learned her good communications skills from her parents, even though the strip doesn’t have them speaking. One couple I know makes a point of arguing things out in front of their kids so that the kids will learn how it’s done, but they stay with it until they’ve worked out an agreement and hugged and made up. Thus the kids see how to handle disagreements constructively instead of destructively.
