Good morning, Vagabonds. I got the newspaper letters to the editor off my bed in time for the Sleepys people to install my new bedf rame – it’s SO much more comfortable. I can only read a few letters to the editor ata time – my eyes hurt.
I must get ready for a young man from Azerbaijan who’s blind and is coming up from Baltimore who will be visiting me for the weekend so he can see his grandmother who is staying with his aunt in New York. I haven’t seen him since he was a kid as he was adopted by a family in Colorado.In spite of his blindness he graduated college – he was given lemons and he made lemonade. He wants me to take him to an Azerbaijan restaurant in Brooklyn called Baku Palace – I look forward to that as well as taking him for a New York pizza and Turkish lahmacan (his language is really a Turkish dialect – too bad he can’t see the tiles on my Turkish Scrabble set.
Happy May Day Vagabonds..Yes Slim, after seeing a picture of you in a hospital bed on Facebook I to am concerned..When my mother was a girl May Day was celibrated more then it is now in the U.S..Sunny day, blue skies, warming up, and the peeper frogs are out in force. SPRING!.have fun..ttfn

Well, we are off tomorrow morning, very early…….plane leaves at 6 a.m. We are almost all ready. If we’ve forgotten anything, then we can buy it in Raleigh.
I am not in the hospital. That Picture was taken in Jan. of 2001 shortly before I was released. I was there for 17 days.I only realized, years later, that I had been in a life-threatening situation. Intestinal blockage. Plus a huge ulcer. Fed through a “pick” tube for almost two weeks.dkram must not have read, or it wasn’t there to read, why that picture was posted. It was when I had my Open Mic With Floyd show. The friend that covered for me while I was hospitalized is a musician who debuted here in Tucson on the Open Mic show in 2000.I will send a share to dkram about my friends latest accomplishment. I,000,000 “likes” on YouTube. And a share of the post that that picture was part of..
