^So I see that military history is among your many other great intellectual virtues.

I believe our current president is culpable for continuing the military presence in the middle east long after Bush handed over the legacy of his administration. Ima makes one valid point in that we send in our troops for a fast strike action and then try to turn them into nation builders. IMO it’s better to just leave the cesspool of the middle east to their own devices. They will annihilate each other (Sunni vs Shia) quite effectively, as they have for centuries.

“Guernica” depicted the Spanish Civil War, where yes, Germany did supply air power, not WW II. BTW, it was the Communists who fought Franco, and lost.

I thought the big 0 campaigned on the premise that Afganistan was the “right” war. He took office, sent in a reduced surge, announced when we would leave the Afgans to fend for themselves, and has left them as he (the big o) continues to brag about his victory there. If my memory is correct, the “cartoon” is very WRONG.

And Cheney still believes that terrorism is in its last throes.

^it’s also a great example of how expensive it is to do something on the cheap.
