Sally was less of a dingbat back then. In later years, all she would do is spout her silly philosophies and insult Charlie Brown and Snoopy.

It’s psychosomatic, Charlie. Take off your hat and forget your stupid baseball team.

How do they get over things so quickly. So polite and all.

Charlie Brown, just make an appointment to see the doctor when you take Sally to see him/her! Maybe by some chance the doctor will have a chance to take a quick look at your stomach and give you a diagnosis with treatment! On another note does anyone else notice it’s rather ironic that the parents or adults never make an appearance in this strip (especially on an occasion like this when it’s their responsibility to look after their children’s welfare?!?)

I guess back then parents let their children walk places by themselves? I guess that was the “trust” era. How times have changed.

The whole point of the Peanuts strip is the children. Adults were always off screen. Except for Mrs. Van Pelt’s backside when she took Rerun out on bicycle trips.
