What’s old in our eyes, is always young to someone with more stripes on their arm than us…. a 60 y.o. will say to a 38 y. o. : “Well, you’re still young, yet”…. they may look at an 80 y. o. and say: " I guess I’m not quite at THAT stage, yet…"and a 38-40 y.o. will look at a 25 y.o. and say: “in a few years, they’ll learn…” so it’s all relative! We feel older to one set, and yet someone older than us is thinking of us as still young, and so on and so on…..

Old today does not start until 80..

75 according to one reckoning (WHO, I think) with 85 being very old, but a favorite cartoon shows two old guys at a bar, with one saying “75 isn’t the new anything!”

TJ’s wise.*But only with the help of the DeGroots. Every time I see that arched doorway in the house, I think how he imagined the construction that became a blockade, and how Bwad helped cut out that doorway. Voila! They turned a negative into a bonus.*Then he got Bwad to propose to Toni on April Fool’s day last year, and if she refused it was only a “joke”. Seemed dumb then, but a mere 365 days later Toni replayed that entire scene but with herself popping the question and Brad saying “yes”. So again, TJ’s idea worked.*On today’s strip— why does Dad wear a bow in his hair when he goes to bed? Or are those two fleas who are dancing?

Levi, re your and Donny’s posts:*I’ve come to the overdue realization that there are two kinds of people in the world— those like me who think being rude is never ever funny, and those like you & Donny who think there is a great deal of overlap between rudeness and humor. So I’m going to let those running barbs just fly by me from now on.

    My view:o ——————————————————oRudeness———————————————————- Humor

Your view:OO (They should be overlapping circles)

a local rock station used to play a twisted tune, based off of Eric Clapton’s song…. it was titled: “Rogaine”. “…..You’re in the hair club for men, Capt. Picard got you in… Rogaine…” was one of the lyrics. If anybody remembers who did it, I’d be grateful… several versions are up on youtube, but the ORIGINAL one is fuuuuuny!

The saddest thing, at the record store today, happened…… two guys were milling over the vinyl, going:: Linda…. Rooon… stadt?"….. and they milled over a coupla 70s and 80s acts kinda like that, but they almost look as though they were born around the time when those acts were still were making albums that were on the top 40…. and they were quipping how “back then, you didn’t know what you were getting in an album… it’s different with our stuff on mp3 and youtube….” it seems that there was a time when people were exposed to other generations’ stuff as well as the current one, but these days, the only thing people see is whatever is in the now, and the mentality of “forget everything else” seems to be the norm…..

I found the “Rogaine” parody llyrics, at least, by John Hunter. I got them off of Amiright.com, the misheard lyrics website. Some more of the lyrics: “If your scalp’s got a tan, and Yul Brynner’s your man, RogaineYou got chrome on your dome, all your hair’s on your comb, RogaineHey bald guy, better buy, and apply, Rogaine”
