I won’t get any flu shot. Haven’t had the flu since ’93. My mother-in-law refused to get a flu shot after the first one because she got so sick from it. She never caught the flu in the following years up until her death of natural causes. Some people get along quite well without having to get a vaccine against the flu or pneumonia. You are the best judge of your current health status. If you feel prone to get the flu or pneumonia, then get the shot.
I tried to get the shingles vaccine but my insurance won’t pay for it until I turn 60. Got a few years to go still, so I thought I would just pay for it myself, but turns out it costs $250.00, so I guess I’ll just wait. People claim that Obamacare will ration healthcare and put bureaucrats between you & your doctor, but it sure looks to me like that’s what we already have.

Yes indeed there is a shingles vaccine. And pneumonia and flu as well. Get them! You wont be sorry.
We old timers need these shots. My brother in law, 70, and even my daughter, 35, have both suffered from shingles in the last few years.
Even with the shot, my bout with shingles was not too bad but I still got it.
The other two patients who hadn’t had the inoculation, really suffered a lot with that nasty disease.
I recommend the shots highly for the senior set and others.
